I stopped by the Flower Box in Woodbridge during National Small Business Week to celebrate one of the many local businesses that keep our communities strong.
Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and they deserve leaders who are focused on lowering costs and supporting growth at home.

On Thursday, I was honored to join my colleagues in cleaning the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall ahead of Memorial Day.
It was a solemn reminder that the freedoms we enjoy are only possible because of so many Americans who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Today, I stopped by my VFW, Post 1503, for a Memorial Day community cookout to honor the memory, bravery, and dedication of the fallen.
It was great to come together with veterans, families, and community members in remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
This morning, it was an honor to be at Quantico National Cemetery to pay tribute to the fallen.
May we always remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in defense of our nation.
Memorial Day serves as a reminder that the freedoms we cherish were paid for by those who gave their lives in service to our country.
Today, we honor the memory, bravery, and dedication of the fallen — and remember the extraordinary sacrifice they made for something greater than themselves.
As a founding member of the Congressional Lowering Utility Bills Caucus, I’m working every day in Congress to reduce utility costs and deliver relief for working Virginians.
Families across Virginia are feeling the strain of rising utility costs and Congress must do more to hold utility companies accountable.
That’s why I introduced two pieces of legislation to lower costs for families and increase oversight of utility providers.
Congratulations to my “Constituent of the Week,” Chief Rebecca Davis Nelson, on her appointment as Chief of Police for the Town of Orange.
With more than two decades of law enforcement experience, she now makes history as the first woman to lead the agency.
Thank you for your service!
The rise in Ebola cases and the need for enhanced screening at Dulles Airport should have been addressed by a world-class public health system.
Instead, Republican-led cuts to the federal workforce have weakened our public health infrastructure — with consequences that put lives at risk.
It was great meeting with constituents during my office’s in-person office hours to discuss challenges they may be facing with federal agencies.
These conversations help ensure my office continues providing the support and resources Virginians deserve. Thanks to all who came out!
Under Trump’s administration, utility bills are skyrocketing — and hardworking Virginians are paying the price.
That’s why I introduced legislation to limit utility rate changes to ONCE per calendar year and prevent companies from hiding price hikes from consumers.
During Teacher Appreciation Week, I stopped by Mountain View High School in Stafford to meet with educators who dedicate themselves every day to helping students learn, grow, and succeed.
Keep up the great work!
Right now, a $100 million private jet can generate about $21 MILLION in tax breaks.
That’s money that instead could lower costs for families, support veterans’ health care, or reduce the deficit.
I’ve got a bill to fix that. Read more ⬇️

Class of 2031 applications for U.S. service academy nominations from my office are now open!
I'm honored to nominate outstanding students from VA-07 as they apply for a spot at our nation's service academies.
To be considered for a nomination from my office, apply by October 9.
I've been clear that Members of Congress – and the president – should be banned from trading stocks.
No elected official should be able to profit from sensitive, non-public information they have access to while serving the American people.
That includes you, President Trump.
It was great to join senior industry and Marine Corps leaders for the Modern Day Marine Congressional Breakfast.
We discussed today’s national security environment, the challenges ahead, and the importance of maintaining a strong and ready force. Thank you for having me!
This Mental Health Awareness Month, remember that you are not alone.
The Suicide & Crisis Lifeline offers free, confidential help 24/7.

I am deeply saddened by the deadly attack at the Islamic Center in San Diego. Islamophobia has no place in our country.
Thank you to the first responders who responded to the scene.
My thoughts are with the victims, their families, and the community grieving this senseless act of violence.
🚨 NEWS: NextEra Energy plans to acquire Dominion Energy.
When it comes to utilities, Virginians and I care about one thing: lowering costs. Electricity bills are out of control in Virginia.
I want to see more details, but I am skeptical that this merger will do that.
