Inspiring to meet University of Florida's student government leaders and hear what moves them, from campus safety to college affordability.
I know they'll do great things! #GoGators
Republicans’ assault on TPS would criminalize hundreds of thousands of lawful immigrants overnight. It harms our economy, healthcare, childcare & more.
I’m glad a federal judge ruled to protect TPS for Haiti, but the fight isn't over. I'll keep working to protect our community.

Very worried that Trump will send in an ICE surge to Ohio for mass deportations of Haitians who came here LEGALLY.
Instead of ICE raids and mass deportations, we need to extend TPS status.
I joined @wassermanschultz.house.gov’s amendment to the spending bill to extend TPS for Haitians.
As a senior member of @democrats-appropriations.house.gov, I bring federal investments back to our community.
To make the process accessible, I held a workshop to guide South Florida cities to help me secure more funds. I'll always fight for the resources our communities need.

This is the right decision. Members of Congress must be able to conduct oversight, especially now, as abuses surge.
I proudly led the effort to enact unannounced detention visits in Trump’s first term. All Members should use this power to hold DHS accountable.
So glad to join Temple Beth Emet, my synagogue, for their annual Mitzvah Day!
It was all about acts of kindness, so we came together to make dog treats to donate to the Humane Society of Broward County. 🐶
Great visit to Pixels on Target's Sunrise facility, where this company helps our servicemembers on the battlefield.
As lead Democrat on the Military Construction & VA Appropriations subcommittee, I always ensure our troops have all they need to protect us.
February marks 100 years of Black History Month, and their triumphs we celebrate are America’s story.

I'll always fight to protect the Everglades, a vital water resource for millions.
Even in a divided Congress, I'm still able to secure major victories to revitalize our cherished River of Grass.
I'm proud to have secured a $2 million federal investment to support Feeding South Florida's work to end hunger in our community.
Food is way too expensive, and this Mobile Emergency Response Kitchen will help make it more affordable for vulnerable families.
I convened local civil rights and immigration advocates to hear how ICE is impacting Florida and discuss what to do about it.
Here’s what they told me.
Honored to celebrate My Hollywood Pride's 5th anniversary this week!
I'll never stop fighting for you to love who you love, to be your authentic self, and do it with the same rights and freedom as every American should.
Last night's ruling in favor of TPS is a small measure of hope for my South Florida Venezuelan and Haitian constituents, who have seen more than enough pain and heartbreak.
