I joined South Florida seniors in Hallandale Beach to discuss Trump’s attacks on Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Their fears are valid – there's a lot to worry about – but I assured them that I'll always fight to protect the programs they rely on.

Last night, I heard from neighbors and local leaders concerned about Trump's lawless assault on immigrant families—and shared how I'm fighting back to protect our community.
If you've been impacted by Trump's anti-immigrant crackdown, reach out to my office for confidential assistance.

Presentamos la Ley de #TPSParaVenezuela para designar a Venezuela al TPS y proteger a más de medio millón de venezolanos que cuentan con este estatus.
En la Florida, miles de venezolanos han huido de la violencia y trabajan duro en la comunidad.

We introduced the bipartisan #VenezuelaTPS Act with Rep. Salazar & @wassermanschultz.house.gov to designate Venezuela for TPS & protect over half a million Venezuelans who hold the status.
In Central FL, thousands have fled violence & work hard to help our community.

Firing FEMA’s chief just weeks before hurricane season starts shows how little President Trump cares about Floridians’ and Americans’ safety.

Edan Alexander is finally home today after being held hostage by Hamas for 583 days. I'm thrilled that he's now reunited with his family, who I had the honor of meeting.
My full statement:
I recently joined Ms. DuCuennois’s Silver Ridge Elementary 3rd graders to discuss our three equal arms of government, and we keyed in on mine, the legislative branch!
These young leaders are civics’ savvy and set for success.
5 Americans remain held hostage by Hamas. I led a bipartisan letter with Rep. Mike Lawler to tell the White House the necessity of using every diplomatic tool possible to secure their release. I’m optimistic with the news that Edan is set to come home. We must end this nightmare.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms of South Florida! As a mother of 3, I know the honor (and work!) that comes with being a mom.
Make sure to celebrate moms everywhere today and thank them for the work they do to make life better for families across the country.
Republicans are breaking Social Security on purpose. I’ll fight these attacks nonstop.

I had the honor of meeting with Haitian Ambassador to the U.S. Lionel Delatour.
As the US works alongside Haitian leaders to restore security and protect civilians from gang violence, the partnership between our nations has never been more crucial.
Public Servants make government work and life easier and safer.
On Public Service Recognition Week, and every week, I’ll proudly back federal workers and challenge anyone who attacks them.
Trump doesn't want your child & family safe. His lawless USCPSC assault proves it.
Trump's partisan firings will turn an independent agency that keeps pools safe & dangerous baby toys & bunk beds off our shelves into a nest of crony incompetence. I'll fight it nonstop.
Trump wants to rip away lawful status from Venezuelans. We'll see him in court.
Yesterday, I led 47 @housedemocrats.bsky.social in an amicus brief defending #TPS at the Supreme Court. We will NEVER stop fighting to keep families safe from dictators like Trump and Maduro.
Loved and respected by all, Carla Hayden's Library of Congress is 'open to all.' But a qualified guardian of truth and national treasures like her is a threat to Trump's mendacious corruption. Her firing is galling and I'll push Congress to place this post beyond partisanship.
My statement on the Trump Administration’s negotiations over Iran’s nuclear capabilities:
Firing FEMA’s chief just three weeks before hurricane season begins shows how little President Trump cares about Floridians’ and Americans’ safety.
My full statement:
TPS recipients aren't lawbreakers — they're here lawfully and none of them have criminal records.
That's why I'm partnering with @repdarrensoto.bsky.social and Rep. Salazar to keep Venezuelan American families together as we fight to free Venezuela from dictatorship.
