Trumpster Zeldin and Trumpster Wright pretended in the press that I was all wrong about the stop work order raising electricity costs.
Under oath, RI said the wind project would “yield substantial cost savings” with direct savings “estimated to be hundreds of millions.”
Rhode Island’s complaint against capricious Trump stop work order on offshore wind makes solid sworn statements about savings.
If ISA permanently blacklisted companies that used Trump to cheat on the treaty in international waters, much of this nonsense would end.

Maybe lower court judges should think about refusing to treat as binding precedent SCOTUS decisions whose analysis stands on demonstrably false facts. E.g., Citizens United whose factual premise that its unlimited political money would be transparent is demonstrably false.
It would be useful to know if the Marshals are investigating patterns or orchestration of threats against judges. We asked, and have gotten no answer. Bondi has a huge conflict of interest if MAGA is behind threats and she won’t allow investigation.

We took our own look at the fossil fuel “orbiting debris field of oddballs and charlatans” cranked up for Trump to oppose climate action, but it’s hard to top McKibben on a roll. You go, Bill!
Thoughts on first week back in DC:
1. Never saw troops (raking leaves?).
2. Restaurants much emptier.
3. No apparent improved security.
4. Fewer people out on street (in good weather).
While dirty, fossil fuels rake in a hefty subsidy, Trump’s anti-wind crusade will raise your energy prices.
Never mind the massive existing subsidy to fossil fuel of being allowed to pollute for free (per IMF: $700+ BILLION a year!). Fossil fuel lives on the government dole, and funds Republicans to protect its special-interest privileged polluting status.
The higher-priced units are virtually all fossil fuel units, shifting money from consumers’ pockets to Trump’s big crooked fossil fuel donors (also massive donors to Republican Party generally). So it’s political payback, at your expense.
Let’s be clear. This will raise costs. 95% of new power on the grid last year was clean energy. It essentially all came in below the grid price. Suppress it, and the grid must bring on even higher-priced units, raising costs for consumers. Trump-flation in action.
