Dirty trick for the last two: Trump’s big fossil fuel donors make billions extra — from international fuel prices going up more than domestic production costs, and from getting to run expensive fossil fuel units clean energy would have idled.
3. Trump’s reckless war on clean energy raises your electricity costs. Clean energy is usually the lowest-cost energy on the grid; when it’s stalled, grids go to higher-priced fossil fuel units, raising costs for every electron on the grid. You pay more.
2. Trump’s reckless war on Iran raises fuel and fertilizer costs for American businesses, families and farmers. He can’t figure out how to get out of what he recklessly started. You pay more because of Trump’s ongoing war.
1. Trump’s reckless massive tariffs raise costs for American businesses and consumers. If that weren’t true, why are they rebating the illegal tariffs to American businesses? It’s obvious: We’re paying for Trump’s tariffs.
Trump is using an unprecedented web of nonprofits, cultural organizations, and other groups to stash away over half a billion dollars for his corrupt policies and pet projects, donated by corporations & the ultra-rich.   This is corruption on a scale we've never seen before.
This is why corporate America sought policy guidance about climate risk, which prompted the fake “anti-ESG” response from fossil fuel’s denial apparatus. The corporate sector caved at first, but climate risk is real, and so is fiduciary liability.
I’m headed to the Senate Floor to ask my colleagues if we can all agree on this simple truth: climate change portends a cascade of financial market collapses that would destabilize the national and global economies.
