Republicans have consistently brushed aside concerns about Trump's DOGE cuts at the Social Security Administration.
Yet here we are confronted by longer wait times, and less help for Americans who need it.

What a tangled web they’re weaving. Look out; sometimes it’s the cover-up that gets you more than the original wrongdoing.
An added wrinkle: Maxwell is a likely witness in Trump’s lawsuit against the WSJ if she put the book together and obtained the Trump letter.
Will DAG ask? Will he promise her a pardon for silence, or for a Trump-friendly tale? Who will be in the room? What records will be kept?
Here’s a tell: reporting is that Maxwell put together the Epstein birthday book; Trump said his letter in it is a fake. Did he lie? She likely knows.
So the question here is: is he really going as DAG or is he going de facto as Trump’s personal criminal attorney, Tom Hagen style?
Plus, the DAG pretty much runs DOJ; everyone reports to the AG through the DAG. The DAG doesn’t do individual cases; he’s busy.
Even US Attorneys (93 of them, who report to DAG) avoid witness interviews and send agents instead to do the interview.
Why? Because a prosecutor in the interview is a witness to the interview and could be called to testify about it — a mess to avoid.
Over at DOJ, the Deputy Attorney General (DAG) is personally visiting Ghislaine Maxwell in prison.
Weird? Very.
Let me explain.
Senate Finance RM @wyden.senate.gov has found $1.5 billion in Epstein-related ‘Suspicious Activity Reports’ at Treasury and demanded FBI investigation.
The administration appears not to have been truthful about Trump in the Epstein files, and not to have investigated financial leads.
The U.S. House of Representatives has shut down and fled over Trump/Epstein.
Trump/Epstein is a full-on DC dumpster fire right now.
