Iran’s highly enriched uranium could be moved in as little as 10 carloads. Do we really have confidence we know where this is? Do we really have confidence it wasn’t moved before our strikes?
One way or the other, the extent of the damage to Iran’s nuclear program will come out. I trust the analyses of the men and women of our brilliant intelligence community over Donald Trump spiking the football.
Days after this Iran strike, we still have more questions than answers: what intelligence led us here? Is there an actual ceasefire or not? How effective were the strikes? And what’s the plan to keep the 40,000 American servicemembers in the region safe?
Three years after the Dobbs decisions turned back the clock 50 years, restricted access to health care, and risked women’s lives, I’m still fighting to restore the right to abortion. I’m proud to reintroduce legislation to restore reproductive health care across the country.
Americans deserve more than vague rhetoric and unilateral decisions that could set off a wider war. Donald Trump owes the 40,000 Americans stationed across the Middle East clear answers about how he plans to protect them after these strikes.
The Intelligence Community said a week ago that Iran had not moved towards a nuclear weapon. Have they changed their assessment? And if not, what the hell is the U.S. doing ignoring our own intelligence?
On Juneteenth, we pause to commemorate the effective end of slavery. I’m also taking the opportunity to reflect on our history — the good, the bad, and the ugly — so we can learn from it and build a more equitable and just future.
If I – as a U.S. Senator and Vice Chair of the Intelligence Committee – have no answers on what this administration’s policy is when it comes to Iran, what signals does that send to our allies? To our foes?
