The labor movement is strong, it’s resilient, and now, it’s united to build even more worker power. When workers fight, workers win!
We’re thrilled to share breaking news: The AFL-CIO and @seiu.org are reuniting with a new, long-term effort to make it easier for workers to win a voice on our jobs with our unions.  There’s power in unity! aflcio.org/press/releas...

Regulators like NHTSA exist to keep people safe, not to protect corporations. That only works if they follow the facts and conduct unbiased investigations — in this case, into Tesla. What happens now that Tesla CEO Elon Musk is Trump's right-hand man?
Giant corporate landlords are allegedly scamming renters by using algorithms and sensitive data to jack up rent costs. I investigated and asked the Justice Department to act. Now, this expanded lawsuit holds these landlords accountable for putting profits over people.
BREAKING: The Justice Department of suing six of the nation’s largest landlords for illegally raising rents on over one million people using algorithmic pricing. The DOJ and multiple states added these landlords to their suit against RealPage, the rental software company.
Pete Hegseth is the most unqualified Defense Secretary nominee in US history. -Mismanaged a veteran's nonprofit into the ground -Reports of public intoxication at work -Accused of rape -Thinks women can't serve in combat How can we trust him to protect our national security?
Sen. Elizabeth Warren, the top Democrat on the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Personnel, is seeking answers from Pete Hegseth to more than 70 questions in advance of his confirmation hearing next week.
No one should have their credit ruined because of a medical emergency or billing mistakes. The CFPB is saving Americans money and making sure medical bills don’t stand in the way of people getting car, home, and small business loans — a big win.
Trump pardoning the insurrectionists who attacked our Capitol four years ago would be a betrayal of the American people. Many of the rioters were convicted of assaulting police and other serious crimes — including by Trump-appointed judges. They must be held accountable.
Donald Trump is expected to grant clemency to over 1,000 people convicted in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol.
Ann Telnaes resigned after the Washington Post editorial page killed her cartoon. It’s worth a share. Big Tech executives are bending the knee to Donald Trump and it’s no surprise why: Billionaires like Jeff Bezos like paying a lower tax rate than a public school teacher.
It’s no secret why Apple’s CEO is sucking up to Donald Trump: Republicans are planning more corporate tax cuts that would give Apple an extra $2.7 billion in handouts.
SCOOP: Apple CEO Tim Cook will personally donate $1 million to Trump's inaugural committee. He believes the inauguration is a great American tradition and is donating to the inauguration in the spirit of unity.
President Biden's move to block this deal puts American manufacturing first, protects our national security, and stops executives from selling out steelworkers for a fat payout. As this plays out, U.S. Steel must uphold its commitments to the steelworkers that built our country.
Millions of consumers have been ripped off, but Zelle and the banks that run it have refused to stop the fraud or accept responsibility. This is exactly why we need a strong CFPB – to protect middle-class consumers when the big banks won’t.
Last night should’ve been a celebration. Instead, people ringing in the new year were targeted in a horrific act of terrorism. My heart is with the victims, their loved ones, and all of New Orleans today.
Our troops are having seizures and dying by suicide because of brain injuries from firing their own weapons. I wrote a bill to protect our troops from these blasts and Congress passed major reforms from my bill. Our work doesn't stop here, but it's a good first step.
New year, new ways to save money.
Starting in 2025, people across the country no longer have to hand their money over to TurboTax to file their taxes.
Instead, you can file your taxes online, for free with the IRS.

BIG WIN: If you or a loved one have asthma, you may see the price of your inhaler go down. I’ve sounded the alarm about companies like Teva rigging the patent system to keep the price of inhalers high. The FTC is fighting to bring your health care costs down, and winning.
When you order your morning coffee, you want to know that your barista is paid a fair wage. But Starbucks isn’t just short-changing their baristas — they’re also stalling negotiations and union-busting. Starbucks Workers United: We’ve got your back.
The Starbucks strike has begun at stores in LA, Chicago, and Seattle. @sbworkersunited.org says other locations will join imminently, and the rolling strike will grow over the next several days. 537 locations with 12,000 workers are unionized and could join the shutdown.
Here's what this means: Republicans are plotting to cut health care for seniors and veterans to grease the wheels for tax cuts for giant corporations and billionaires like Elon Musk.
