Rhode Island’s aviation roots run deep, from the Allen Family of Aeronauts to retired Air Force Major General and Apollo 8 astronaut, Bill Anders. Proud to recognize this year's RI Aviation Hall of Fame inductees and celebrate our state’s history of aviation achievements.
Great to see engaged students & teachers at the Rhode Island Council for Economic Education’s Financial Capability Conference at RIC. As we navigate affordability challenges, financial literacy is essential to empower our communities to thrive economically.
New Englanders Helping Our Veterans, with founder Jim Collins, Henri’s Auto & American Legion Post 85 partnered to give away cars to our deserving Rhode Island Veterans. Congrats to today’s recipients as we thank them for their service to our nation.
RI'ers are being forced to make impossible choices. Marlene buys insurance through HealthSourceRI and her costs will jump $600 a month if Trump & House Republicans don’t extend the ACA tax credits. We need to address this urgent health care crisis that impacts us all.
Joined Councilwoman Graves, the 02908 Merchant’s Collective & the Smith Hill community at their annual Turkey Drive. 🦃 Thanks to all whose generosity allows so many of our neighbors to celebrate this Thanksgiving holiday.
Saw hands-on learning in Pawtucket at Winner Circle’s celebration of RI STEAM month. From robotics to coding to arts & design, STEAM education is helping kids develop tools for success. We have to make sure all students can access it.
Proud to celebrate the appointment of my friend and former colleague, Magistrate Judge Amy Moses. She’s been a fighter for justice throughout her career, and will be a powerful addition to the U.S. District Court of Rhode Island.
Helped assemble Thanksgiving baskets with the Pawtucket Lions Club, Coastal1 Credit Union, and Pawtucket volunteers. Thank you to Laureen Grebien, Pawtucket’s First Lady, for starting and carrying on this tradition to ensure 1,000 families have food this holiday season! 🦃
Trump is enacting his dangerous Project 2025 plan to dismantle the Department of Education. He's once again walking away from an essential federal responsibility & making it harder to ensure every child receives a quality education. apnews.com/article/educ...
I’m deeply disturbed by out-of-control ICE agents causing more chaos — now with their aggression towards a minor interning for the RI Superior Court. This is yet another example of ICE’s egregious lawlessness. It’s long past time to rein them in.
Thanksgiving is around the corner, but Trump’s cuts & tariffs are driving up prices for holiday staples and groceries across the board. A family of four is now paying more than $1,000/month at the market. I like stuffing, but no matter your favorite side, I’m working to lower YOUR costs. 🦃
Words matter. Trump’s heinous threats against my colleagues are the latest in his history of inciting violence, notably on January 6th. I condemn this ongoing rhetoric from the Oval Office. I call on all to do the same — it makes us all less safe.
Months ago, Secretary Rubio told me in @houseforeign.bsky.social that “no children are dying on our watch.” That’s not true. Trump & Rubio’s foreign aid cuts have led to over 600,000 deaths worldwide. We can’t walk away from our global leadership.
Facts matter when we’re talking about the impact of Trump & Republicans’ latest attack on the Affordable Care Act. I asked the Director of the Congressional Budget Office how many people will get hurt. The answer is grim.
First cutting $1 trillion from our health care system with his Big, Ugly Law & now refusing to extend ACA credits. Trump’s not even trying to hide that he doesn’t care about the American people. He’s making all Americans sicker & poorer no matter where they get their care.
