Republican health care cuts in their big, bad bill for billionaires will hit every Rhode Islander.   Spoke with AONL about how their planned health care cuts will negatively impact health care facilities and the people they serve. I will keep pushing back on this scheme in Congress. #StopTheCuts
The ocean and Blue Economy go hand-in-hand, contributing billions to the nation’s GDP and supporting good jobs in RI. Trump is slashing funding to critical government oceans-based functions, targeting clean energy, and attacking researchers.
Following the horrific mid-air crash at DCA in January, I remain concerned about FAA airspace management, communication, and deconfliction procedures. Rep. Ron Estes and I are calling for DOT audit of D.C. airspace to safeguard the flying public and military aviation operations.
Ryan is a 6-years-old constituent who wrote me a letter because he’s worried he won’t be able to watch his favorite PBS show, Wild Kratts. Republicans need to keep their word to kids like Ryan by protecting the funding for public media that Congress already promised and passed into law.
@neguse.house.gov, @mikethompson.house.gov, and I are leading House Democrats in urging Sen. Crapo and Sen. Grassley to remove this dangerous provision and help reduce gun violence in our communities.
June is #MensHealthMonth, so here’s a reminder to make that appointment and put your health first. I’m working in Congress to break barriers to care, invest in research, and protect against health care funding cuts and rising costs.
Met with RI Builders Association last week to discuss working together to build more housing in Rhode Island and expand opportunities in the skilled trades. Good jobs 🤝🏿 housing availability & affordability. That’s a win for Rhode Island.
🚨Donald Trump DECOMMISSIONED NOAA’s report that tracks weather disasters costing more than $1 billion. This data helps scientists, policymakers, and the public protect their communities.
By encouraging Veterans to enjoy meaningful time in our great outdoor spaces, we are promoting healing and health awareness for those who’ve bravely served our country in uniform.
Proud to join my House and Senate colleagues, @moulton.house.gov, Senator King, and Senator Cassidy, in a bipartisan effort to designate today, June 14, 2025, as Veterans Get Outside Day.
Trump’s reckless dismantling of Voice of America including VOA Persia — left a region in turmoil without a free & independent press source amidst the conflict in Iran. Now, the Admin is addressing the information void in Iran by hastily asking VOA Persia staff to return.
While Trump is spending tens of millions of taxpayer dollars to throw a military parade in honor of his own birthday, Americans are standing up for our democratic values.   I’m proud to see so many Rhode Islanders standing up against tyranny and corruption.
Honoring 250 years of bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to our nation’s security. Proud to stand with our U.S. Army heroes who defend our freedom every day.
