The only way to get us out of this mess is for Democrats and Republicans to sit down together and negotiate a solution. So why, on Day #19 of Trump’s shutdown, are Republicans still refusing to do that?
Heartbreaking words from one of my constituents: "It's money I don't have, I just finished my soybean harvest and as I do the math I'm currently losing $85 an acre… and now I have to worry about if I can afford health insurance." www.wqow.com/news/politic...
Republicans don’t have a strategy to reopen the government, and it shows. On Day #15 of Donald Trump’s shutdown, I am STILL waiting for Republicans to get their act together and help us lower Americans' health care costs.
If Republicans continue down this path and jack up health care costs on Wisconsin families, they will also terminate care for more than 250,000 Veterans who have sacrificed for our country. I’m not OK with that.
It’s been 2 weeks since Republicans shut down the government, and Wisconsinites are now closer than ever to having their health care costs skyrocket. The million-dollar question this week is, will Republicans sit down with Democrats so we can fix this mess? I hope so.
Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day! Today, we honor the Native Nations who came before us, and lift up our Indigenous communities which continue to be a vital part of our past, present, and future.
267,000. That’s how many veterans are projected to LOSE their health care if Republicans get their way and take away these health care tax breaks. This is not how we take care of those who served us, and I won’t stand for it.
78% of Americans support keeping health care tax breaks in place – including 57% of Trump supporters. Why? Because this isn’t a partisan issue for working families. Millions of Americans – no matter their party affiliation – don’t want their health care costs to skyrocket.
