Cuts to Medicaid and kicking millions off their health care, taking food assistance from families and jacking up grocery costs, and reckless tariffs – it all just shows President Trump doesn’t get it. Families want lower costs and to be able to save for the future – not this.
All of Wisconsin’s Republican members of Congress voted to terminate 250,000 Wisconsinites' health care and threaten to close our rural hospitals. Thankfully, we have @GovEvers, who is helping avert some of the worst of it and has working families’ backs.
Remember that it was Republicans in Congress who decided to kick 17 million Americans off their health care. That’s like taking away health care coverage from the entire populations of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa COMBINED.
The Fourth of July marks the day America declared itself an independent country that is ruled by no king. Today, we celebrate our freedom and liberty. I hope everyone has a fun and safe Independence Day! 🇺🇲
Today, Republicans chose to put their super-rich friends over working families. They chose to terminate health care for 17 million Americans. They chose to decimate our rural hospitals. They chose to take food from hungry children and families. www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...
Keep calling. Keep emailing. Keep speaking out. We can beat this terrible bill that is going to rip health care from millions and rig our tax code for the rich – but it will have to be a people-powered effort. Let’s do this.
Donald Trump claims to support closing this tax loophole that lets Wall Street get off the hook from paying their fair share. Well, now is the time for him to finally put some pressure on Senate Republicans to support my amendment to do just that. www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/senate/...
I'm on the Capitol steps with ‪Senator Klobuchar‬ and families who are speaking out against the bill that Republicans are trying to jam through that would take away health care from 17 million Americans.  We are not giving up in this fight.
Wisconsinites have said loud and clear that they don’t want their health care and food assistance taken away. And the majority of Americans agree. Instead, Republicans have chosen the interests of big corporations above the well-being of American families. apnews.com/article/poll...
❌Kicking 16 million off health care ❌Taking away food from seniors and kids ❌Putting rural hospitals at risk The Republicans' budget bill is nothing but bad news for American families. That’s why I am voting NO.
56 years ago, brave Americans stood up to hate and violence at the Stonewall Inn, sparking the LGBTQ+ movement for equal rights. Today, as we continue to see attacks on the LGBTQ+ community, we are reminded of what’s possible when we stand together in the fight for equality.
Today, as Senate Republicans try to figure out how they are going to jam through Donald Trump’s terrible budget bill, my stance remains unchanged. I have never voted for a bill that takes health care away from millions of Americans. And I’m not going to start now.
Under the Republicans' budget bill, kids and seniors will have food taken away from them, and millions of Americans will be kicked off their health care. To put it simply, Wisconsin families will lose.
