First, I listen. Then, I act. I heard directly from these Veterans in La Crosse who have one message: don’t mess with the VA and take away their care. I will stand up to anyone, including Donald Trump and Elon Musk, to uphold our promise to these vets. www.wxow.com/news/senator...
Wisconsin farmers, like Beau and Rachel, work tirelessly to feed the world and support their livelihoods. I met with them to discuss how Elon Musk and President Trump are ripping the rug out from under our farmers and the families that rely on their food.
We make a promise to anyone who puts on the uniform: we have your back when you come home. But, Trump firing 80,000 workers from the VA is putting that all at risk. I was in Onalaska to hear directly from our veterans about what it would mean to have their VA care ripped away.
Too many Wisconsinites are being priced out of the communities that they love and work in. Today, I was honored to get my hands dirty and work with Habitat for Humanity to help build a dream home for a Wisconsin family and bring them the security they deserve.
Like so many Americans, my mother battled mental health challenges. Luckily, she got the help she needed. Everyone deserves access to mental health support, no matter who they are or where they live. I’ll keep fighting to make that a reality. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth
Trump and Musk claim to be firing VA employees in the name of “efficiency,” but what they’re really doing is breaking a promise to the people who served us. I heard from VA employees and veterans in Milwaukee about what cutting 80,000 of the VA workforce would mean for our vets.
Republicans and Trump are debating whose Medicaid they are going to rip away – I am here in Madison talking with families about what it would mean if they had this essential care ripped away. We have the power to fight this – and win.
Halting more than HALF of Wisconsin’s Head Start funding is all part of their plan to eliminate the program altogether. I’m fighting this tooth and nail because Wisconsin families need access to affordable child care – not it ripped away from them. wisconsinexaminer.com/briefs/baldw...
Trump made a lot of promises about his first 100 days. Unfortunately, it’s a lot of promises broken. Grocery bills are up, Veterans are being screwed over, child care is being ripped away, and our economy is facing a recession. This is no Golden Age. This is chaos.
