These attacks on early childhood education, personal data, nutrition assistance, and access to health care and vital information are deeply personal — they affect real people, real families, every single day.
The @demwomencaucus.bsky.social is standing strong and fighting back against the relentless attacks on women and families by the Trump administration and Elon Musk.

These attacks on early childhood education, personal data, nutrition assistance, and access to health care and vital information are deeply personal — they affect real people, real families, every single day.
While House Republicans have ignored Elon Musk’s takeover of government agencies and seizure of Americans' personal data, House Democrats refuse to take it in stride – and we will continue fighting for our democracy.
Donald Trump has turned over the presidency to Elon Musk, handing an unelected, unvetted extremist unchecked power.
These actions are disgraceful, dangerous, and wholly unacceptable. I call on the President to stop putting veterans’ lives at risk in order to further extremist ideology and an extremist agenda. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXR3...
Health care providers know that understanding the unique needs of veterans from diverse backgrounds is key to improving health outcomes.
Over 9 million veterans rely on the VA for care, and President Trump's directive to end all diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) initiatives jeopardizes the health and well-being of these veterans.
While President Trump has been unwilling or unable to rein in Musk's dangerous reach, @housedemocrats.bsky.social are working to block this unlawful access to the Treasury’s payment system and protect the personal information of American taxpayers.
Now, Musk and his allies – without any oversight – have access to our personal data. This is a blatant invasion of privacy and a shocking abuse of power.
The Department of the Treasury is responsible for processing payments across the entire federal government, a process overseen by experienced and trusted civil servants. These individuals are specifically trained to safeguard the sensitive personal information of millions of Americans.
There has been no shortage of egregious and outright dangerous actions from the Trump administration, but one stands out as especially alarming. Elon Musk – an unelected, unvetted, and unaccountable extremist – has now gained access to the U.S. Treasury's data and payment system.
In Congress, I will continue to fight for strong, consistent federal support for Medi-Cal and the critical programs and services that protect Americans’ health and well-being.
In #VenturaCounty alone, over 265,000 residents depend on Medi-Cal to access necessary healthcare. In California alone, over 14 million people rely on this program. Medi-Cal is not just health insurance – it’s a lifeline for children, working families, seniors, and people with disabilities.
Cuts to Medicaid and other essential services could force local health providers to scale back their operations or even turn away patients, further jeopardizing access to health care for those who need it most.
Clinicas provides vital care to our most vulnerable populations, and its mission relies heavily on stable federal support.
While the funding freeze has been rescinded, this administration has made it will stop at nothing to reduce funding for essential programs, putting millions at risk.
Following the chaos constructed by the Trump’s administration threat to freeze federal resources, I met with Dr. Gagan Pawar, CEO of Clinicas del Camino Real, to discuss the potential impacts of Trump’s executive actions, which targeted critical social services like Medi-Cal and health centers.
