Donald Trump chose to pursue an illegal war against Iran without planning for the consequences, and to make matters worse – eliminated the expertise needed to manage the fallout.

The plaque honoring the brave men and women who defended the Capitol on January 6th was, by law, supposed to be hung up for public display by March 2023.
It's March 2026 and the plaque is tucked away in a hallway, still hidden from the public. It's illegal and disrespectful.
I signed a discharge petition to force a vote to fund the law-abiding parts of DHS to ensure workers get paid and our airports keep running.
Our public servants shouldn’t suffer because Trump and Republicans refuse to commit to rein in the lawlessness in ICE and CBP.

House Democrats just launched our petition to fund TSA, FEMA and the Coast Guard.
This Republican shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security has gone on long enough.
Republicans must join us.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Wholesale inflation comes in hot for February with producer prices rising 3.4%, the biggest jump in a year.
This White House views agreeing to "adhere to the law" as a concession.
We need no more masked agents. No more occupation. No more assaults on Americans peacefully exercising their rights. No more warrantless entries. No more mass arrests to fill deportation quotas.
Trump tore up the Iran nuclear deal, failed to negotiate another agreement, then attacked Iran and claimed to have “obliterated” their weapons program. Clearly that wasn’t true.
Now, his illegal war in Iran has spiraled out of control into a region-wide conflict and is driving up energy costs.
Here it is, straight from the horse’s mouth: the American public is the last of the Trump Administration’s concerns.

3:36 pm: Tornado watch set to run until 7p was canceled early. Risk of tornadoes much diminished after midday showers/storms.
Not impossible another watch comes later, and not entirely out of woods until a front passes.
Damaging wind gusts may accompany front. Sim radar snapshot at 9p shown.

12:30pm: The tornado warnings in the N/W burbs have expired. We’re still anticipating additional storms coming in from the south and southwest, which could become severe, passing through the Beltway area about 2-4:30pm. This area has already triggered a Severe T'storm Warning around Manassas.
Now, they want those same allies to bail them out of an energy crisis of their own making.
A completely self-inflicted failure.
Trump's White House has continuously insulted and alienated our allies, including with indiscriminate tariffs. They failed to build a credible coalition that would support their reckless war of choice in Iran and clearly didn’t plan for the most predictable Iranian response in the Strait of Hormuz.
A broader, regional war engulfing all of Lebanon is in no one's interests. The US must prioritize mediation efforts and strengthening the ability of the Lebanese state to keep its people safe.
Lebanese civilians are paying the ultimate price for tragic mistakes out of their control, with hundreds killed and nearly one million already displaced from their homes.
The disastrous chain of reckless escalations beginning with the US-Israeli war of choice against Iran, followed by Hezbollah's tragic decision to join the war looks to be culminating in another Israeli ground invasion in Lebanon.
The U.S. is the richest country in the world, yet millions of Americans are forced to make impossible decisions like skipping meals or cutting back on utilities to afford health care. It's not right.
Congress must restore and expand the Affordable Care Act tax credits.

Just so we’re keeping track, here are basic questions the Trump Administration can’t answer:
- Are we at war with Iran?
- What is the goal?
- How long will this go on?
- What is the cost?
- Will we put troops on the ground?
This President has no plan. This reckless war needs to end.

Donald Trump has shown time and again that freedom and democracy for the Iranian people are not his priority.
He launched an illegal war—risking tens of thousands of U.S. servicemembers—without congressional approval or a clear plan.

They either didn't know Iran would shut down the Strait of Hormuz or they knew and didn't have a plan.
Either way - just totally clear they don't give a damn about what this war means for hardworking Americans.
My thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the six American servicemembers lost. May they rest in peace.
Their loss is a painful reminder of the human cost of war.
