Proud to have secured $850,000 in federal funding to improve the Center for Community Engagement & Workforce Development at LA Harbor College in Wilmington. This new funding will upgrade the center’s technology infrastructure and security so it’s safer for everyone to use.
The Supreme Court has decided Trump’s tariffs are illegal.  Lawless Trump lost again in court.  His tariffs raised prices for families and harmed businesses. Per the nonpartisan Tax Foundation, Trump’s tariffs are the largest tax increase on the American people.
On this Day of Remembrance, we honor the thousands of Japanese families that were torn apart and incarcerated during WW2, simply because of their ethnic background. We must ensure these dark and violent chapters of our history are not repeated. We must fight to protect our immigrant neighbors.
I heard about the impact of Trump & Noem’s aggressive and unaccountable immigration enforcement on our #CA44 communities and how their terror tactics have caused fear and anxiety across neighborhoods. House Democrats will continue to push for stronger oversight, accountability, and reforms to ICE.
As part of our Day of Action on the State of Health Care, I held a roundtable to hear directly from health care leaders and providers about patients’ struggle to pay higher health care costs, due to cuts to programs like Medicaid and proposed cuts of tens of millions in public health grant funding.
