10 days is too long to wait to rein in an out-of-control ICE.
I voted no on the DHS funding bill, because I could not allow them to continue to kill Americans and terrorize communities, for even one more day.

This month, we remember, honor, and highlight the Black American community which has shaped our history every step of the way.
Black history is American history, and we celebrate its rich contributions to our culture and country. Happy #BlackHistoryMonth!
Hardworking Americans should be rewarded, not cheated out of their benefits. @housedemocrats.bsky.social will continue to fight to protect your Social Security checks.
86 years ago, Ida May Fuller received the first-ever #SocialSecurity check.
But today, Republicans want to slash Social Security, taking money from children, veterans, and the elderly.
Americans demand accountability. ICE must be held accountable to the people. For starters: no more masks, agents must clearly identify themselves, and obtain judicial warrants.
ICE IS OUT OF CONTROL. They’ve terrorized our immigrant communities, tried to silence those who speak out, and killed people in the streets.
That’s why @housedemocrats.bsky.social fought to restore the tax credits that help keep health insurance costs down — time for Senate Republicans to do the same.
Elaine from #SanPedro couldn’t believe her monthly health insurance bill. Americans like Elaine already work more hours just to afford basic necessities because the cost of living is too high. They don’t have an extra $200 or $300 lying around PER MONTH to pay for rising health care costs.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social will continue to fight for access to good health care and health insurance you can afford. You shouldn’t have to worry if you can get the care you need when you or a loved one gets sick.
#TeamBarragán held a Health Insurance Open Enrollment Day in #Carson!
Our neighbors from across #CA44 received free assistance from certified counselors with the California Health Professional Student Alliance— UCLA Chapter to enroll in CoveredCA and Medi-Cal.
It’s up to Senate Republicans now to make sure Americans like Lenny and Mandee can afford insurance.
This is the reality for millions across the country because Republicans refused to extend the enhanced health care tax credits. @housedemocrats.bsky.social successfully forced a vote to extend the tax credits for 3-years to help lower health care costs.
When Lenny and Mandee found out they would have to pay almost $2,000 EXTRA per month for health insurance in 2026, they gave up their health insurance.

The Senate should vote NO this week to funding DHS until major reforms are made to ICE and Border Patrol.
Under her failed leadership, DHS has terrorized communities, shot and killed Americans and immigrants in detention. Instead of taking responsibility, Noem has rushed to blame the victims. She must be held accountable.
It’s simple: Kristi Noem needs to resign or be fired. If not, we’ll work to impeach her.
We need strong chemical safety laws to prevent tragedies like this — but Republicans’ bill would weaken the EPA’s ability to protect people from dangerous chemicals.
PFAS chemicals like GenX can be found in pots and pans, food packaging, and more.
Marketed as a “safer alternative,” GenX still ended up polluting drinking water and has been linked to cancer in communities.
Colleen’s 3-yr-old daughter had a tumor —> United Healthcare denied her treatments —> their family ended up over $1 MILLION in debt.
Health insurance companies’ claim denials are literally risking people’s lives. Americans should NOT be denied the care that they need while CEOs rake in millions.
JOIN US TOMORROW for our Health Insurance Open Enrollment Day!
You will receive free confidential, one-on-one assistance to enroll in CoveredCA or Medi-Cal, where our certified counselors are ready and available to guide you.
