This month, we remember, honor, and highlight the Black American community which has shaped our history every step of the way. Black history is American history, and we celebrate its rich contributions to our culture and country. Happy #BlackHistoryMonth!
Elaine from #SanPedro couldn’t believe her monthly health insurance bill. Americans like Elaine already work more hours just to afford basic necessities because the cost of living is too high. They don’t have an extra $200 or $300 lying around PER MONTH to pay for rising health care costs.
#TeamBarragán held a Health Insurance Open Enrollment Day in #Carson!   Our neighbors from across #CA44 received free assistance from certified counselors with the California Health Professional Student Alliance— UCLA Chapter to enroll in CoveredCA and Medi-Cal.
This is the reality for millions across the country because Republicans refused to extend the enhanced health care tax credits. @housedemocrats.bsky.social successfully forced a vote to extend the tax credits for 3-years to help lower health care costs.
Colleen’s 3-yr-old daughter had a tumor —> United Healthcare denied her treatments —> their family ended up over $1 MILLION in debt. Health insurance companies’ claim denials are literally risking people’s lives. Americans should NOT be denied the care that they need while CEOs rake in millions.
JOIN US TOMORROW for our Health Insurance Open Enrollment Day! You will receive free confidential, one-on-one assistance to enroll in CoveredCA or Medi-Cal, where our certified counselors are ready and available to guide you.   Call my office if you have any questions or need help registering!
