I was proud to join them as we work to rein in this war.

I met with the Communication Workers of America this week. Conversations that discuss issues like affordable, reliable health care are always valuable to our working families.
Cutting SNAP benefits makes food insecurity worse. Our families should not have to choose between groceries and rent.

It was an honor meeting with the Illinois Chapter of the @alzassociation.bsky.social I'm a proud supporter of the ASAP Act, which requires Medicare to cover the blood test for early detection, and other Alzheimer research. Every conversation pushes us closer to a cure. #ENDALZ
Gas prices have risen 43% nationally in a year and our small businesses are paying the price.

Working families aren't asking for handouts. They're asking for good wages, affordable health care and childcare, a pension you can count on. That's not a radical idea — that's the deal this country used to keep. Let's get back to it.

We asked Rep. Nikki Budzinski whether a discharge petition could be used to force consideration of the bipartisan PREDICT Act on the House floor:
"That should be on the table." ⬇️

Rep. Nikki Budzinski introduced the bipartisan PREDICT Act, legislation that would prohibit senior government officials from participating in insider prediction market trading.
"We want to rebuild public trust, I think this is a step forward in that direction."
Happy #Pride! During Pride Month, we celebrate the freedom of all Americans to live authentically and openly. As a member of the @equality.house.gov, I will always fight to protect and uplift the LGBTQ+ community.
Champaign–Urbana. 3rd best public transportation in the country. 🚌

🚨Tonight I’m hosting a town hall in Champaign. I want to talk about what I’ve accomplished in Washington so far — and answer your questions about how I’m fighting for families across IL-13.

Small businesses are the best part of coming back home to the district. Cafe Moxo in Springfield, IL is a perfect example of exactly the kind of small business that makes IL-13 special.
Early detection saves lives. But it only works if there's a facility nearby to do the screening. Working families shouldn't have to drive an hour for preventive care. That's why accessible health care has to be part of the conversation.
Every person in federal custody deserves to be treated with dignity. I'll keep pushing ICE and CBP for real reforms and holding these facilities accountable.
Eid Mubarak! Wishing a blessed and joyous Eid al-Adha to all those celebrating in IL-13 and around the world. May this time bring peace, reflection and abundance to your homes.
The PREDICT Act bans Congress, the President, VP, senior staff and military officials from placing bets on prediction markets tied to political events. If you violate it, there are real penalties — not just a slap on the wrist.
