Catherine Marie Cortez Masto is an American lawyer and politician serving as the senior United States senator from Nevada, a seat she has held since 2017. A member of the Democratic Party, Cortez Masto served as the 32nd attorney general of Nevada from 2007 to 2015.

Gas prices are rising because of Trump's war of choice in Iran. But that is not an excuse for oil companies to illegally profiteer off the backs of hardworking Nevadans. My legislation is about preventing illegal price gouging and helping Nevadans struggling with soaring costs.

Donald Trump is punishing immigrants who follow the rules. And at the same time, he's granting clemency and pardons left and right to real violent criminals and drug traffickers. None of this is making Americans any safer, and it's hurting families like Sgt. Serrano and Deisy. It's just cruel.
Deisy Ortega was following the rules. Because her husband serves in the U.S. Army, she was eligible for a program to remain in the U.S. with him. On April 14, she went to an appointment for her application. At that appointment, Trump's ICE detained her.
Kevin Warsh was warned about the risks of predatory mortgages. He said subprime assets were getting a "bad name," and said he had no regrets about his time on the Fed Board during the 2008 crisis. Why should Americans trust him to be Chairman of the Federal Reserve now?
All of those barriers add up: it’s what Trump and his cronies are counting on. They want Nevadans to choose not to vote. That’s why their “SAVE America” Act is so unpopular and hasn’t been able to pass the Senate – because it is about voter suppression, not election security.
If you are removed from the voter rolls, you may not find out until Election Day when you’re in line to vote. If you try to re-register, you will need to meet the onerous new documentation requirements – a Nevada REAL ID won’t be enough.
It’s not an accident. Trump and Stephen Miller have done everything they can to undermine DACA and go after individuals who were brought to this country as children. This is just another one of their cruel and senseless tactics.
