Donald Trump promised no more wars. Yet, he has now forced America into a war with Iran.
The American military is not Trump’s private army. House Democrats will not stand for this.

Trump is putting our servicemembers as risk by charging into another open-ended conflict in the Middle East, and our veterans understand this best.
Statement from a group of New Dem Veterans, led by @repherbconaway.bsky.social, urging the passage of the Khanna-Massie War Powers Resolution.
This morning, I joined @housedemocrats.bsky.social leadership and fellow veterans to strongly condemn the President’s actions in Iran and to stand united in support of the bipartisan War Powers Resolution to reign in Trump’s dangerous warmongering.
While Americans struggle under high costs, Trump is dragging us into another expensive and aimless war.

However, our military forces do not belong to the President to use on a whim, or because he doesn’t agree with the pace of negotiations. This is not about defending the nation. This is the President being reckless. Donald Trump’s actions have put military forces at risk and made us less safe.
The President cannot circumvent the Constitution and wage war without the approval of Congress. Iran is a bad actor and oppressive state that has suppressed its people and supported terrorism around the world.
Thanks to the Valley County Water District for talking about efficient water service delivery to cities and protecting waterways, including the Main San Gabriel Groundwater Basin, the key water source in CA-31. I’m grateful for their work preserving high water quality access.

The racial profiling, harassment, and threats to our community must end. I led the LA delegation in a letter to Kristi Noem to demand the immediate suspension of warrantless stops and racial profiling based detentions.
Last month, ICE agents physically assaulted two Latino employees of Los Angeles County’s Department of Parks and Recreation while on duty.
Trump lie: “Gas prices are below $2.30 a gallon in most states, and in some places, $1.99 a gallon.”
The truth: No state had an average gas price today below $2.37 per gallon.
Trump lie: “The SAVE Act will protect American election integrity.”
The truth: The SAVE Act will prevent over 21 million citizens from voting and make voting disproportionately for women and rural voters.
