One year ago today, the Senate confirmed RFK Jr. as HHS Secretary. Since then, he has:
- Installed anti-vax conspiracy theorists
- Slashed NIH research funding
- Fueled a nationwide measles outbreak
- Detained unaccompanied children for months
Public health can't survive another year of this.
One of my favorite responsibilities as a Member of Congress is nominating incredible students from across Denver to our nation’s military academies. These students are our future military officers and leaders, and I couldn’t be more proud to support their journey to serving our nation.
This is good news. The court agreed, yet again, that Trump and RFK’s cuts to public health grants were illegal.

I’ll keep fighting to protect the future of our planet for us and our children.
Scientists have long warned that greenhouse gases are dangerous to public health and worsening climate change.
But moments ago, Trump’s EPA ended the agency’s legal ability to do anything about regulating these harmful pollutants.
This is disgraceful.
Today I met with these brave Coloradans from Advocates for Trans Equality to talk about the fights ahead to protect trans people's access to care.
I’ve always fought for every American to live as their authentic selves, and I will continue that work alongside these powerful advocates.
The SAVE America Act would block millions of married women from voting, reject military and Tribal IDs, and tell Americans their driver’s license isn’t enough. This is voter suppression by design. Republicans can’t win fairly, so they’re rigging democracy.

Neither our witnesses nor the Republican chairman of our subcommittee could answer a question about the secret deals that drug companies have made with the White House.
How do we know if they are saving anyone money if we don't know what the deals are?
This week, I met with dedicated public servants from AFGE Local 4012 and Local 3607 representing the Social Security Administration and the EPA. Federal workers continue to serve our country with courage, even as this administration relentlessly attacks them. I'll keep fighting to defend them.
Today, Republicans failed to block action on Trump’s Canada tariffs — a win for Colorado workers, families, and small businesses. These tariffs raise costs and hurt local businesses. We are close to repealing this failed policy for good.

The Trump administration’s cruelty is unending. Trump is blocking $600 million in CDC funding—money Congress already approved. That’s illegal. And it’s dangerous political retribution, plain and simple.

Congressman Andy Ogles is demanding my committee investigate Bad Bunny and the NFL.
Let’s get serious: a better use of our time would be to investigate the thousands of mentions of Donald Trump in the Epstein Files.
Donald Trump and Steve Bannon want to nationalize our elections and deploy the military & federal agents at polling places. This is wrong on every level. We won’t let them turn our democracy into a dictatorship.

The disgusting and racist post by President Trump of the Obamas is beyond the pale. For years, he has pandered in racism to his extreme base, starting with the birth certificate conspiracy theory.
Everyone must condemn this unabashed bigotry from Donald Trump.
With the Olympics less than ONE DAY AWAY, I'm cheering for our Colorado athletes as they compete for community and country in Milan Cortina—at least 33 on Team USA, the most from any state! Colorado continues to prove we're an Olympic powerhouse.
We celebrate their victories while staying clear-eyed about the road ahead. Black Americans still face barriers to justice, opportunity, and equality. This month and every month, we must continue fighting to change that.
This #BlackHistoryMonth, we honor the trailblazers who shaped our nation and our community – from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Jackie Robinson, and my friend and mentor, the late Congressman John Lewis to Denverites like Dr. Justina Ford, Charlie Burrell, and Jim "Dr. Daddy-O" Walker.
Great to welcome my friend Iwao Horii, Japan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, to Washington. We discussed strengthening the U.S.-Japan alliance in an increasingly complex Indo-Pacific region. The partnership between our nations isn’t just important—it’s essential.
Republicans say Medicaid fraud is out of control. But Trump's DOJ told prosecutors to investigate the widow of a woman murdered by ICE instead. They resigned in protest. 8 more followed. Who's left to fight the actual fraud? That's what politicizing enforcement looks like.
Today, I am voting NO on funding for DHS.
ICE must be defunded and dismantled, and I won’t support another dime to DHS until that happens.
