DOGE said its takeover of Social Security was to root out waste, fraud, & abuse but just 2 cases out of 110,000 were flagged to potentially be fraudulent.
This red tape resulted in retirement claims processing slowing by 25%!
Wishing President Biden strength & healing as he faces this diagnosis. My thoughts are with him, Dr. Biden & their entire family.
Opioid overdose deaths in WA dropped 12% in 2024, a sign that prevention efforts like expanding access to naloxone are working. Naloxone reverses overdoses & saves lives.

I spoke with @repschneider.bsky.social about how Republicans’ budget bill would rip health coverage from nearly 14 million Americans.

The GOP Tax Scam takes health care away from nearly 14 million Americans, including kicking more than 8 million people off Medicaid.
On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @degette.house.gov explains how we are fighting to stop this disastrous bill.
Republicans want to raise taxes on people making less than $30,000 to pay for another tax break for the wealthy. Many of these same people also rely on Medicaid, which they’re also trying to cut. This is all about further enriching those at the top at the expense of working families.
Met with the WA Fraternal Order of Police to discuss how we can better support law enforcement & first responders to build safer communities.
Trump is planning to spend millions on a birthday parade for himself at the same time he’s trying to take away health care & other services from you.
Outrageous.

Trump’s tariffs are driving up prices at some of the biggest stores in the U.S.
Republicans in Congress could end this economic pain by simply calling a vote on legislation like mine to stop these sweeping tariffs.

The Republican budget cuts food assistance to help pay for tax cuts for billionaires. On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @repshontelbrown.bsky.social shows how House Democrats are fighting back every step of the way.
Met with Lake Stevens Mayor Gailey & spoke at the Economic Alliance of Snohomish County to discuss the economic issues we are facing in our community & how I'm supporting Snohomish County in Congress.
Great to meet with Eric Howard, the Executive Director of Sno-Isle Libraries, today. We talked about how libraries connect our communities through access to information & learning.
Child care costs are crushing family budgets. Parents shouldn’t have to choose between child care & putting food on the table.
The expanded Child & Dependent Care Tax Credit would give families more relief. Republicans voted against expanding it. #GOPTaxScam

The Republican plan for the largest cut to food assistance in history will leave everyday Americans hungrier and poorer— all to fund tax breaks for billionaires.
@repangiecraig.bsky.social explains how cutting basic needs programs will make life harder for kids, farmers, seniors and veterans.
Republicans are trying to rip away health coverage from 14 million Americans. I've heard from constituents who are terrified of what this bill would mean for them & their health care. We should be expanding access, not gutting it. #GOPTaxScam
The best investment we can make is in our children, but the Republican CTC leaves out 17M kids. In the @waysmeanscmte.bsky.social, I offered a proven solution to support our kids & dramatically cut childhood poverty, but Republicans rejected it while giving massive tax breaks to billionaires.
A mom from Kirkland wrote to me recently to share how she was able to raise her family because of the support of Medicaid, food assistance, & the Child Tax Credit. Republicans are trying to take these programs away from hard-working Americans. #GOPTaxScam
Republicans are trying to gut health care for nearly 14 million Americans to give more tax cuts to the wealthy. We will be going all night in the @waysmeanscmte.bsky.social.
