George William Foster is an American businessman, physicist, and politician serving as the U.S. representative for Illinois's 11th congressional district since 2013. He was the U.S. representative for Illinois's 14th congressional district from 2008 to 2011. He is a member of the Democratic Party.

I am relieved that Matt Gaetz won't be the next Attorney General, since anyone holding that position must not be vulnerable to coercion or blackmail. And, ethical and legal issues aside, it was a position he wasn’t remotely qualified for. (1/2)

Simplifying and automating tax returns is something I’ve been working on since I introduced the Autofill Act of 2010. I don’t agree with much the DOGE commission is doing, but it would be great if they got this across the finish line!

Matt Gaetz, Trump’s nominee for Attorney General, was under investigation for serious allegations of sexual misconduct with a minor—but he resigned just days before the findings were set to be released. This shouldn't be a partisan issue. The Ethics Committee must immediately release the report.
