Republicans have broken the promise of the PACT Act, fired thousands of servicemembers, and made cuts that threaten Veterans’ benefits and care. @housedemocrats.bsky.social are hearing directly from the Veterans hurt by Trump’s extreme agenda. Tune in 👇
When we abandon our allies, we risk our own security. Delaying security & humanitarian support to Ukraine is a gift to Putin. Thanks to the American Coalition for Ukraine for stopping by my office to share their stories and discuss why continued U.S. support for Ukraine matters now more than ever.
PEPFAR is one of the most successful bipartisan health programs in history—saving over 26 million lives in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Trump’s sledgehammer approach to foreign aid threatens that legacy and puts millions of lives at risk. My remarks from today’s hearing. 👇
Big congratulations to the Florida Gators on winning the 2025 national championship! 🐊🏀 As a proud Gator mom, I was on the edge of my seat, cheering you on every second of the game. GO GATORS! 🧡💙
If you haven’t filed your federal taxes yet, there’s still time to use a free tool—launched under President Biden—that can help you save money. Direct File is a secure way for eligible taxpayers to file their taxes directly with the IRS. More info on directfile.irs.gov/
Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander women are still making just 83¢ for every $1 earned by white, non-Hispanic men. On #AANHPIEqualPay, @demwomencaucus.bsky.social are standing up for the fair pay, economic security, and workplace protections AANHPI women deserve.
Once a mayor, always a mayor. As West Palm Beach’s former mayor, it’s always good catching up with Mayor Keith James! Glad to welcome him to my DC office to go over West Palm’s priorities this year and how I can help advance them through my work in Congress.
As a lover of the arts, I have a special invitation for all the young artists in our community! 👩‍🎨 If you’re a high schooler in #PBC, enter the Congressional Art Competition by April 14 for a chance to have your artwork shown in the Capitol.
Why I'm saying my, my, my today: For just pennies, this packet can save a starving child’s life. After Elon Musk fired almost all of USAID's workforce, there's no one left to help feed vulnerable children. I’m fighting back.
When the U.S. turns its back on the world, we leave a void that China, Russia, and other bad actors are all too eager to fill—just like we’re seeing in Myanmar this week. President Trump abandoned U.S. foreign assistance, making our world less stable and America less secure.
My, my, my. Trump’s tariffs are a gut punch to American families and seniors on fixed incomes. They’ll drive up the cost of everything—from groceries to automobiles to prescription drugs—while isolating us from our allies. This isn’t liberation.
Shutting down USAID is shortsighted, dangerous, and cruel. For over 60 years, USAID has delivered lifesaving aid, strengthened global stability, and advanced America’s values abroad. Gutting it abandons our allies, weakens our influence, and puts lives at risk—especially in times of crisis.
There’s nothing liberating about higher costs. Tariffs don't just punish other countries—they punish Americans by driving up import costs that get passed straight to you. And that means layoffs, lower wages, and higher prices across the board.
Foreign assistance is not charity; it's strategy. At less than 1% of our federal budget, it’s one of the most effective tools we have to advance America's security, economic strength, and global stability. My remarks from today’s appropriations hearing 👇
In today's Democratic Daily Download, Rep John Larson calls out Trump-Musk's attacks on Social Security. They're coming after your earned benefits. Today, we'll hear directly from Americans who are impacted by these cuts. We're fighting for families and seniors, not billionaires!
Today was my first public hearing as the lead Democrat on the House Appropriations National Security and Department of State Subcommittee. I appreciated joining Chairman Diaz-Balart and outlining my priorities for the year, including advocating for vital foreign assistance programs.
