Political violence has no place in our democracy.
Grateful to the officers and security personnel who kept everyone safe last night at the WHCD.

This week, I took to the floor of the House to mark the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
I will keep working to free the Armenian prisoners, end military aid to Azerbaijan, and ensure future generations learn the truth about what happened 111 years ago.
I spoke at ANCA Burbank’s annual Armenian Genocide Commemoration last weekend because 111 years later the fight for truth and recognition is far from over.
I will continue standing for truth and justice for Armenians – in America and in their homeland.
I will always stand with the Armenian community in their efforts for peace and safety around the world. (2/2)
111 years ago, 1.5 million Armenians were arrested, exiled, and killed at the hands of the Ottoman Empire. It was a genocide that is still denied by some to this day.
That denialism manifests today, where we are continuing to see persecution and attacks on Armenian communities. (1/2)
I’m fighting to make housing, healthcare and education more affordable, and to undo Trump’s giveaways to the ultra-rich. (2/2)
Trump and Congressional Republicans gave the ultra-wealthy a tax cut 390 times BIGGER than the one he gave the rest of America’s hardworking families.
This is an attack on working people, and completely unfair. (1/2)
I’m proud to represent one of the largest Armenian-American communities in the nation and will always stand shoulder to shoulder with my Armenian constituents. (2/2)
It was a pleasure addressing the Armenian Council of America at their first-ever gala. It was a special night, highlighting the many causes they champion. I’m proud to have worked alongside the ACA from my days on City Council, to the Assembly, and now in Congress. (1/2)
Last week I was honored to speak at the bipartisan Armenian Genocide commemoration event in D.C.
We must commit not only to remembrance, but to action to ensure that history does not repeat itself - that Armenia is protected by the USA and the world.
This Earth Day, I’m renewing my commitment to fight for better environmental protections, cleaner air and water, and the protection of the beautiful lands we hold dear.
To me, Earth Day is every day!
Trump said he’s fine if gas prices rise, but I’m not.
Americans are already struggling with insanely high grocery prices and utility bills. I’m fighting for relief from these high prices.
Come by and get assistance for any issues you’re heaving with a federal agency.

Listen to @michaelschneider.com speak with Congresswoman Laura Friedman yesterday on her bill to unlock federal dollars for technology to eliminate police changes.
Not only could this lead to safer streets for all, but also to the end of police helicopters in LA!
youtu.be/T-GWS8OLtzU?...
Trump wringing his hands over the consequences of his actions, as always.
He has no plan to lower prices nor does he care how it affects your pocketbooks, because he expects all of us to make sacrifices for his careless war in Iran.

Yesterday was National Trans HIV Testing Day. #NTHTD
Knowing your status & getting tested protects yourself & your community from HIV.

This community center is the result of the hard work and generosity of so many community members. This success shows that Los Angeles values our wonderful trans family and friends. (2/2)
@translatinacoalition.org broke ground for their new community space – right in the heart of my district. I was so proud to stand with our trans community and celebrate this incredible moment. (1/2)
