Republicans' bogus "SAVE Act" is completely deceiving. This bill isn't saving anyone anything – it’ll cost Americans over $19B and prevent millions from voting. That's why on #TheFlipSide, my Democratic colleagues and I are suing Trump for his efforts to disenfranchise voters.
Republicans are not only complicit in Trump’s illegal schemes – they are fully responsible for the destruction their new budget will cause.
Millions of people will lose health care, food assistance, education grants, and so much more.
I'm voting NO against this outrageous bill.
Another week, another successful town hall!
It's great to hear from people across Northern California and answer questions on what I'm doing in Congress to protect Medicare, help students with disabilities, and push back against Trump. Thanks to everyone who came out.
House Republicans think the best use of our time in Congress is their pathetic power grabs to impeach judges who disagree with them. On #TheFlipSide, I’m fighting to stop this corruption and protect the impartial lawyers and judges who are just doing their jobs to keep those in power accountable.
Next up to bat in Trump's unceremonious slashing: the FEMA BRIC program that prepares us for disaster response & recovery — the most cost effective way to protect communities from disaster.
It's unsurprising, but incredibly disappointing, that Trump is stripping Californians of lifesaving funding.
Trump is illegally firing 25% of the HHS workforce – who we rely on every day for safe medical products, essential health care services, and our overall public health.
All of that is being compromised just so Trump and his billionaire friends can pay fewer taxes... it's insane.
Trump's tariffs have already caused a Stock Market drop exceeding 20% – marking the worst S&P start to a presidency in modern history.
This administration is tanking our economy. We need to put a stop to this madness.
Thanks to all the North Coast residents who attended my town hall in Eureka over the weekend. We discussed everything from Trump's impacts on rural communities to my efforts to push back legislatively. I appreciate your input, and I'll keep fighting for our region in Congress.
All kids – no matter their zip code, race, disability, or any other factor – should be able to access a full, exceptional education.
My bill, the IDEA Full Funding Act, would close gaps in special education funding and ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed.
🚨REMINDER: #CA02 high school artists!🚨
My office is accepting submissions for the 2025 Congressional Art Competition through Friday, April 18th. Don't forget to submit your work here: huffman.house.gov/helping-you/...
Trump has once again reversed one of his ridiculous schemes because it was deeply unpopular.
The Trump administration is delaying its plan to make it harder for seniors to access Social Security. We must defend Social Security from Republican’s ultimate goal to destroy it.
Trump and Musk have not done a single thing to lower costs for the American people. Instead, they’re triggering inflation, handing out tax breaks to billionaires, and.disrupting our economy.
Democrats refuse to bow down to their illegal, reckless agenda.
Trump and Musk are decimating public lands, defunding Medicaid, and cutting public education funding… and now they’re coming for mental health care and addiction services, too.
And it’s our most vulnerable communities who are suffering the brunt of these reckless decisions.
Last night, Trump stripped union rights from every federal worker.
This move is straight out of his Project 2025 playbook to gut the American labor movement, take control of the government, and cut public services — and Democrats will fight back with every tool.
House Republicans are wasting our time in Congress on bills to remodel Mount Rushmore in homage to Trump. On #TheFlipSide, I'm leading efforts to protect our public lands and push back against Trump and Musk's illegal actions.
Every day, Trump and Musk's schemes are impacting people and communities up and down the North Coast. Here are some of their stories…
In #CA02 alone, Trump and Musk's cuts to public education are putting nearly $30 million and over 400 teachers at risk.
Our taxpayers deserve high-quality education and opportunity – and now the administration is stealing from the very people they promised to protect.
Welcome to my new series, #TheFlipSide, where I’ll be sharing what Republicans vs. Democrats are really doing this week in Congress.
Republicans want to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America to bolster our national security – yet they turn a blind eye when the administration commits real, detrimental breaches to national security.
Republicans are wasting our time on ridiculous bills to regulate refrigerators – while Democrats are working to lower the cost of groceries so people can actually fill those refrigerators.
When will they start focusing on what the American people actually need? It's absurd.
