Watched The Pitt finale and Hacks E2 tonight and I think Noah Wyle and Jean Smart are both going straight back to the Emmy stage. Also, I cried once per show. It's very hot in NYC right now and I am labile.
What do you mean, "jokes"? I was walking up Broadway yesterday and literally burst out laughing when I saw this.
Love this!
In the ninth episode of The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, Craig Robinson refers to Daniel Radcliffe, to his face, as "this Elijah-Wood-looking-ass bitch." I am running out of new ways to recommend this show.
because only God can make a perfect thing.
It's really not a good idea to try to be a debate-me bro with the Pope. Especially when you have only been a Catholic since, like, last Tuesday.
In case you think this is a self-interested plug, I have nothing to do with these releases. But @szacharek.bsky.social @willowcatelyn.bsky.social @tasharobinson.bsky.social and @isaacbutler.bsky.social do, so basically I'm sold. (If you want to see/read me, check out Point Blank or, shortly, Lenny!)
Criterion's July slate it might be my favorite month of theirs ever: Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, Oshima's Cruel Story of Youth, The Crying Game, Hud (one of the greatest 1960s American films!), and a Mike Mills set of Beginners, 20th Century Women, and C'mon C'mon. Goodbye, disposable income!
This is a brilliant piece by @colsonwhitehead.com. (And even funnier if you're aware that in certain parts of the country, "gooch" is slang for....well, if you know, you know.) www.nytimes.com/2026/04/15/o...
You all really delivered on this prompt. Congratulations!
I'm sorry, but The System does not allow for special requests.
"We lost grandma yesterday."
"Oh, I'm so sorry. Who took her?"
"Stockard Channing."
"Oh, well, at least THAT must have been fun!"
"It really was."
I want every actress to have to do 1 day a year as a death doula and am willing to let them all out of jury duty in exchange. The rule: You don't know who you're getting until The Day and you have to accept whoever knocks.
[Pounding on door] It's me! Gabrielle Carteris!
Me: Dammit. Is it my time?
I know that some people are angry about the double standard this resignation represents, but this is an area in which Democrats simply have to do the right thing, swiftly and without whataboutism. The contrast makes the point. And even if it didn’t, this still had to happen.
I think the only reason it is happening is so it can be reported as news!
He's already up to 1653. It's slowed down a little because for some reason she has stopped returning his calls.
I admit I sat there for way too long asking myself "Hacks or Reggie Dinkins?"
