I'm an angry, sad, bitter person. Because I ate raspberries.
lol why would I grow a berry that I hate?
I'm a little tired of the appetite here for "Disqualified!" and "Do better!" and "If you [fill in the blank] you're complicit!" to people who are 90% with you. The number of people on Bluesky who need your policing is possibly lower than some of you imagine.
A lot of Republicans who insist that the system is rigged against people like them have a perverse admiration for people in power who take everything they can get. They tell themselves they'd do the same thing if they had the chance.

And sure enough he’s won both. Seek this movie out when it opens in the US in April. Robert deserves an invitation to the Oscars next year.
I'll share one purely anecdotal thing: When I ask Academy members not who they're voting for but what name they'd like to hear read when the envelope is opened, what I hear again and again is, Ethan Hawke or Wagner Moura. Of course Chalamet could win, or DiCaprio, but nobody feels either is owed.
And your BAFTA Best Actor is...Robert Aramayo! Hard to describe what an astounding upset this is in an awards season that has been tediously devoid of them. (His movie will open in the U.S. in April.) variety.com/2026/film/ne...
Deleted a post because I got suckered by some dumb AI piece of shit.
(I really hope this is the last time I ever have to write that sentence.)
There's so much about this country I would happily apologize to you for. But not that!
The good folks at @people.com just having a normal Saturday afternoon.
Badlands, Carrie, Days of Heaven, There Will Be Blood, The New World, The Tree of Life, The Master, The Straight Story, Mulholland Drive, Killers of the Flower Moon. My lord. Give the man his Oscar!
Many times today for me. Nothing put a bigger smile on my face than her joyously spinning across the ice on her knees.
I just watched The Devil is Busy, one of the Oscar-nominated doc shorts--an extraordinary portrait of a woman who runs security at a women's healthcare clinic in Atlanta.
A hugely worthy film on HBO Max. If Paramount gets WBD, can't imagine it being given this showcase. If Netflix does, I can.
I'm sure CNN's reply would be, "Well, we're not going to be baited by his rants and tantrums," but you can't attempt to rebrand silent, complacent servility as a form of being above it all. Find the shreds of dignity that remain in your profession! Fight back! What's he going to do, call you names?
There is a kind of smug, dull-minded "We're just here for the show" complicity in that room. During the press conference, Trump announced, not for the first time, "I don't talk to CNN, it's fake news." Why didn't the reporter immediately leave? Why does CNN still invite his stooges on its shows?
