For non-NYers: The Stonewall Monument--which was only made national in '16, which is what allowed Trump to have the flag removed--is tiny. It's less than 1% the size of Central Park, and a reminder that LGBTQ+ people have always had to fight for every square foot, every iota of progress and respect.

This is the way. When they come at us, we come back at them twofold. Raise that Pride flag every time they take it down. If they prevent that, surround the park with Pride flags. Ruin their petty little lives until they shit rainbows. Never stop. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/12/n...
Gryffindor, Ravenclaw...I'm blanking.
Those of you who are yelling at me for sharing this should feel free to take a seat directly under the big sign over there that says "23%."
It's a good reminder that at least some messaging that we might all dismiss as dumb or obvious is probably essential and useful.
Fascinating result, and one grim takeaway: 23% of the voters who are going to decide who wins the next election believe that Democrats currently control at least one house of Congress.
apparently the card above is messed up, but if you click the link it works www.gelliottmorris.com/p/trump-lost...
She spent the whole morning performatively screaming at Congressmen, but this image of Bondi saying nothing and refusing to turn around will be the only real takeaway from her testimony today.
I always love hearing that kids read EW. On the staff, we used to joke that it should be called "My First Magazine." And they wrote us the best letters. When I started, I was so young that it irritated me--we weren't aiming for kids! Eventually I came to think of it as an honor and a responsibility.

"Culture war" may be a misnomer, honestly.
I mean, there's a big demo going on at the Stonewall National Monument right now over the removal of the Pride flag, and that IS a response to Trump and his corrupt homophobic regime.
[clears throat politely]
Actually, Stonewall, which took place in 1969, was a spontaneous uprising in response to the NYPD's continued targeting and harassment of LGBTQ+ bar patrons.
Also, Ossoff is completely right. The danger in the midterms isn't just the prospect of ICE at polls; it's a lag of anywhere from a few days to two weeks after election night before control of the House is called--a stretch during which MAGA will cry fraud every day. Only a blowout stops that.
There's plenty to criticize Democrats for, and I do it here all the time. But criticizing them for telling people they have to vote is so counterproductive it borders on malevolent. If in 2026, you don't get how important it is, you are as much a part of the problem as anyone you're angry at.
"Suspected" = "I know he did or said SOMETHING I'd hate but I'm too lazy to do two minutes of googling to figure out what it is"

No, that kid was not Liam Ramos, as evidenced by his completely different head and face. Some of you really went off to the races with this.
Focus--a studio-owned indie.
Simply on a live performance stagecraft-design-camerawork-logistics-direction level, this is ASTOUNDING.
