Every death that is recorded under ICE’s watch is not just a number — there are families that have lost loved ones.
Imrain and all those in mourning deserve answers. I will not stop fighting until we get real accountability.
Yesterday on the House Floor, the Washington Delegation held a moment of silence to honor the life of Air Force Captain Ariana Savino. I send my deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.
Removing undocumented students from public schools would hurt us all.
Another escalation of Trump’s illegal war: The administration is now sending thousands of additional Marines to the Middle East.
Nobody wants another forever war. Congress must demand a stop to this before more lives are lost and trillions of taxpayer dollars are wasted.
NEW POD: I sat down with Washington Senator Noel Frame to discuss the recently passed Millionaires Tax in WA and what we can do to fight for a more progressive tax system nationwide.

Wishing a joyous Eid al-Fitr to Muslims in Washington, the US, and across the world! I hope the holy month of Ramadan brought peace, clarity, and joy to all who celebrate.
Americans across political parties care deeply about privacy and surveillance. We cannot allow a “clean” reauthorization of FISA Section 702.

Trump’s administration is lying and spreading misinformation, all while cutting research funding, and as a result, we’re seeing outbreaks of measles across the country.
People will die. We must follow the science to keep our communities safe and healthy.
The Trump administration used a 5-year-old Liam Ramos as bait.
Then they detained him and his father at a for-profit detention center in Texas.
Now, a judge is denying the family’s asylum case.
This repeated traumatization is utterly cruel. I hope this decision is overturned.
Republicans claim they’re standing up for animal welfare, but it's just another excuse for their bill that would allow immigrants to be deported without a conviction.
This is absurd legislation. If Republicans cared about animal cruelty, they should look at Kristi Noem.
Republicans don’t care that you can’t afford gas, childcare, or health care.
Instead, they want $200 BILLION MORE for their illegal war with Iran. Absolutely ridiculous.
Bombs are not the answer. We need to invest in the real tools at our disposal to promote peace and freedom around the world.
I was just notified of another death in ICE custody — the 13th death so far this year, and 44th since Trump retook office.
These private, for-profit detention centers have a duty to ensure the health and well-being of immigrants. There must be accountability and justice.
I am absolutely horrified and deeply saddened by the accounts of multiple young girls and women who were assaulted, abused, and groomed by Cesar Chavez.
My full statement:
Pope Leo and I agree: Health care is a moral imperative. It is a human right.
We need Medicare for All.
Regime change does not work. It never has, it never will.
We must end Trump’s illegal war with Iran and work to ensure safety for U.S. servicemembers and Iranian civilians alike.
The war in Iran has already killed 13 U.S. servicemembers, 168 Iranian children, and displaced millions of Iranians, wasted billions of taxpayer dollars, and put our democracy and global order at risk.
This war is illegal and unconstitutional. It must end now.
There is an illegal war happening in Iran right now.
There is an illegal cover-up of the Epstein files.
There is illegal corruption by the Trump administration.
But there are no “illegal” children. That is a cruel and hurtful attack.
Great to talk to my constituent and an incredible small business owner, Molly Moon, at the Capitol today!
Molly has found that helping her workers pay for childcare has been a great return on investment. It’s time for Congress to take note and pass universal childcare!
Last month, I called out the mishandling of the Epstein files by the Department of Justice under Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Today, the House Oversight Committee issued a subpoena to demand more answers from her. We can not give up until we get accountability for all the survivors.
