The Trump regime is disappearing people to indefinite detention in third countries they’ve never been to, often giving them no chance to contest their deportation and breaking U.S. and international law.
Cruelty and inhumanity beyond belief.
www.newyorker.com/magazine/202...
Refugees come to this country fleeing danger and persecution, and working to protect them has been a bipartisan issue for decades.
Yet, under Trump, it has become nearly impossible for refugees to come here. It’s shortsighted and means people will die.
Republicans are trying to sneak a provision into the annual defense spending bill to block states from passing AI regulations — a direct ask from Big Tech lobbyists who only care about their own profits, not your safety.
It’s a ridiculous proposal.

This is a win for due process.
The Trump administration was keeping immigrants with ZERO criminal records locked up in detention for weeks and months on end. A judge just ruled that these individuals must be entitled to bond hearings. abcnews.go.com/Politics/tho...
Trump promised to lower costs on day one. He lied.
Now he’s telling us that Thanksgiving is 25% cheaper this year? Ridiculous.
We all go to the grocery store and see skyrocketing prices. Lying won’t make costs go down. Standing up to giant corporations and billionaires will.
Too often, big corporations & their billionaire CEOs get in the way of the federal government implementing laws with their own profit-driven interests.
@warren.senate.gov and I are fighting to fix that & ensure that laws passed actually work for the American people. www.govexec.com/management/2...
Trump’s trade wars and inflation are causing the prices of everything from cranberry sauce to gravy to skyrocket — making your Thanksgiving dinner more expensive this year.
Last month, I led an immigration shadow hearing in Chicago. What happened there is beyond belief.
Children teargassed, CBP agents breaking a 67-year-old man’s ribs, an active duty service member whose father was deported while he was deployed.
There must be accountability.
Trump lied. His ICE is not going after the "worst of the worst" like he promised.
The vast majority of the people being taken are hardworking, law-abiding members of our communities. They are just trying to provide for their families and contribute to America.
Throughout the Republican Shutdown, I spent a lot of time at food banks in my district, and I heard firsthand that they are seeing skyrocketing demand.
Trump is putting billionaires over working people — causing families to go hungry. www.kuow.org/stories/seat...
ICE smashed the car window of a 17 year old U.S. citizen who was on his high school lunch break and detained him for more than 6 hours.
The racial profiling and overly aggressive and violent tactics from ICE and Border Patrol must stop. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...
Republicans are breaking apart on several issues, from the Epstein Files to banning Congressional stock trading.
Democrats will continue to try to work together to build bipartisan coalitions to get things done.
SEATTLE TRAVELERS: Due to the Olympic Pipeline leak, all passengers traveling through SEA this week should check in with their airlines for updates to their flight.
Make sure to arrive at the airport early, and safe travels! www.seattletimes.com/business/ala...
Governor Abbott is trying to shut down the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights organization because he doesn’t like their speech.
It’s deeply dangerous, an affront to millions of Muslim Americans, and undermines all of our civil rights and liberties. abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory...
The next story from Sudan we are sharing comes from Tasabeeh, a 27 year old woman living in Sudan who has witnessed the unimaginable.
Please listen to her message for the world, read by @sarajacobs.house.gov.
Refugees undergo more screening than anyone else in our immigration system. Re-interviewing them now only casts suspicion on people who came here legally. It's cruel, unnecessary, and a waste of resources. www.cnn.com/2025/11/24/p...
November is Native American Heritage Month. In my district, we honor the Duwamish, Suquamish, Stillaguamish, & Muckleshoot People who have cared for this land for thousands of years.
We must recognize the violence that’s been inflicted on Indigenous people & strive for justice.
This is a huge win for the American justice system.
The President shouldn't be able to install his lackeys to the Justice Department to go after his perceived political enemies. Congress must retain the authority to confirm appointments of top prosecutors. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...
We have to do more to combat Big Tech monopolies.
These enormous social media companies are taking over entire markets, crushing competition, ripping choice from consumers, and giving the American people a worse and worse product.
I’m horrified by the number of deaths in ICE detention since Trump took office.
This admin is funneling immigrants to private, for-profit prisons that put money over safety. I will continue fighting for increased oversight, accountability, and justice. www.newsweek.com/democrat-pra...
