Over 21 days have passed since Adelita Grijalva won her election but Speaker Johnson refuses to seat her. Why? Because she is the last signature needed to release the Epstein Files. Arizonans deserve representation. Justice demands transparency. The Speaker needs to #SwearHerIn!
Congratulations to the intrepid workforce at Whirlpool’s Clyde and Marion facilities on the announcement of $300 Million of investment in Buckeye State manufacturing today. These investments are faith in our people, in our legacy of industrial strength, and the future of American manufacturing.
Bravo to Toledo—home of Jeep Stellantis as we celebrate this long sought investment that brings an all-new truck line to the Toledo Auto Complex! Today’s announcement of more than $13 Billion invested in North American operations is a win for American autoworkers across our industrial Heartland.
Reckless trade wars hurt American’s retirement security by causing volatility in financial markets. They hurt our farmers, producers, and growers by closing off vital foreign markets. Ohio soy growers are STILL waiting to be made whole, while President Trump bails out Argentina. This is shameful.
Today as the US Navy celebrates 250 years we are mindful of our region’s legacy of service to the nation, especially in the United States Navy. Thank you to all who answered the call. #Navy250
Today I released the following statement on the agreement that has been reached between Israel and Hamas for a ceasefire, and release of hostages, some of whom have already returned home. 1/5
Grateful to participate in the Apple Festival Parade yesterday in Oak Harbor. Traditions like this exemplify the heart of our communities across NW Ohio. Great to see so many friends new, and old, and partake in this time honored annual Ottawa County celebration.
Great day in Oak Harbor honoring local Boy Scout Troop 316 scoutmaster Roger Carpenter for his 75 years of service. Great to see so many friends, enjoy the festivities, and meet so many scouts who have been impacted by Roger’s dedication over the years.
These indiscriminate federal firings by the Trump Administration will harm constituents in my district, and other communities like mine without saving a dollar for taxpayers. It's just more evidence of bad faith as Americans stare at exploding health costs and our military risking missed paychecks.
With hostages returned and humanitarian aid to be delivered to Gaza, we hope that an era of calm and peace for those that inhabit this region is on the horizon. We watch for new leaders to emerge and secure this peace, while thanking all states and leaders who helped to bring about this resolution.
If you are struggling, know you are not alone. Resources are available across NW Ohio, and you can always get help by dialing 988. Together, we create a community where no one feels alone.
A senior couple earning $82,800 a year could face a 236% increase in their premiums. A family of four earning $64,000 a year could face a 226% increase in their premiums. People will lose their health insurance, or It will become unaffordable. This is a life and death issue in Ohio.
Why is Speaker Johnson refusing to call the House back in to session to pay our troops, and negotiate a solution to save healthcare and open government? This military spouse is not alone, and we need to act to help her and all those we represent. The clock is ticking Mr. Speaker.
Rural Ohio families are paying the price for federal policy chaos. The shutdown threatens farmers’ livelihoods and rural hospitals, all to raise health insurance costs by nearly 90%. Our communities need stability, not games with people’s health and tariffs making it even worse.
