Honored to join a Memorial Day observance at Clay Memorial Stadium in Oregon with participation from Medal of Honor winner Edward Byers and a flyover from our 180th Fighter Wing. On Memorial Day we remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Let us always honor their memory.
Great Lakes coastal tourism is an important economic driver for our NW Ohio region and beyond. Happy to join members of our boating community to celebrate the opening of the Port of Toledo for summer 2026. Looking forward to another beautiful season on Lake Erie’s south coast.
During Memorial Day weekend, we remember those lost in service to our great nation. Honored to lay a wreath at the Civic Center Mall in Toledo in their memory. Thankful for those veterans who joined us to keep the memories of their comrades in arms alive all these years later.
The 5K Memorial Day Poppy Run in Wauseon brought veterans & citizens from across NW Ohio together to kick off the region’s Memorial Day remembrances. This annual event was started by Wauseon middle schooler Grady Langenderfer and his family to honor our nation’s fallen heroes & his grandfather, Tom.
Giving $1.8 Billion to violent rioters who beat police and smeared feces on the walls of the Capitol isn't a good use of taxpayer funds—it's an outrage! I stand with our brave law enforcement officers and will not let up in the fight to stop this corrupt slush fund.
When I talk to people in NW Ohio they tell me they can’t afford gas for the car, food for healthy meals, or the cost of healthcare. I have yet to meet a single one who wants to spend $1 Billion on a gilded ballroom. Let the President’s Billionaire pals pay for the ballroom—my people can’t afford it.
Since January 2025 the Department of Energy has terminated more than 300 projects worth over $9 Billion nationwide. The companies, nonprofits, state and local governments who enter into agreements with the federal government have always had full faith the United States would keep its word—until now.
Secretary Bessent pledged not to extend sanctions relief to Russia—but yet again, the Administration is throwing Putin a lifeline when he needs it most.
We must force Russia to end its war on Ukraine and swiftly pass the Ukraine Support Act to sanction Russia and help our allies.
The brave crew of Artemis II journeyed farther than any other human beings ever before them—before their safe return to Earth. From the Heartland of NW Ohio, and our shores from coast to coast, to the heavens above, this mission belongs to every American who dares to dream.
Celebrating 60 years of Latinos Unidos Toledo! Always happy to be with this beloved community who ensure their heritage and traditions will be passed down in our NW Ohio communities from generation to generation. Si se puede!
Welcome Spring to our bountiful Great Lakes Oasis!
During #PoliceWeek we honor brave officers from law enforcement agencies throughout NW Ohio and across our nation. Recently, efforts like DOGE tried to cut federal funding for law enforcement by cutting COPS and Department of Justice grants. At every step of the way, I opposed those dangerous cuts.

🇺🇸🇺🇦 Discharge Petition for the Ukraine Support Act has forced a vote in the House, yet to be scheduled, and includes $9.3 billion for Ukraine in direct military assistance and loans for weapons procurement.
Overrides House Speaker's refusal to allow a vote on the bill.

Discharge Petition #8 will force a vote on the Ukraine Support Act. As Ukraine's forces continue liberating stolen territory, Liberty hangs in the balance. Our effort, 218 strong, shows bipartisan Congressional support for Ukraine's defense of Liberty.

Joint statement from @meeks.house.gov, @hoyer.house.gov, Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, @repmarcykaptur.bsky.social, Rep. Don Bacon, @keating.house.gov, and Rep. Kevin Kiley on securing the final signature needed to compel a vote on the House Floor of the Ukraine Support Act:

This #PoliceWeek @democrats-appropriations.house.gov fought to strengthen funding for law enforcement nationwide including support for Capitol Police, DC Police, and the 19 agencies that responded to help them protect the US Capitol on Jan 6, 2021.
Happy to recognize runners in Toledo’s Glass City Marathon including 25 year old Ohio native Vinny Mauri. In his first marathon, he shattered the course record with a breathtaking time of 2:05:54. This earned him the title of 4th fastest American marathoner and a spot in the US Olympic Trials.
Good to be at UToledo Medical Center with the Ohio State Highway Patrol to kick off the 2026 “Click It or Ticket” campaign for Toledo-Lucas Health Dept. Seat belts reduce the risk of fatal injury by 40% for riders in cars, and 60% in trucks. Buckle up to keep you and your family safe on the road.
