When I first got to the Senate, Abbey, a six-year-old girl from MN, got a horrific injury and died due to the faulty design and installation of a pool drain cover.
I fought to ban those unsafe drains and there have been zero entrapment deaths at a compliant public pool since.
A federal appeals court has blocked Trump’s attempt to restrict birthright citizenship. The court has reaffirmed that “the president cannot redefine what it means to be an American with the stroke of a pen.”
Emil Bove fired prosecutors who worked on Jan. 6 cases and went after career prosecutors who refused to drop a bribery case just to advance the President's agenda.
He does not deserve a lifetime appointment to the court.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission is meant to be free from politics so they can focus on their mission- keeping Americans safe from everything from lead paint to pool drains.
The President is undermining this crucial work - and the Court is letting it happen.
