A federal judge ordered the Trump Administration to reinstate a member wrongfully removed from the National Labor Relations Board, writing: “An American President is not a king.”

Happy International Women's Day! Today we honor the women who are breaking down barriers and have shaped history — and we renew our commitment to creating a just future where every woman and girl has the opportunity to thrive.
Last year, I took a stand with my colleagues when the General Motors racing team was excluded from the F1 world championship series.
I'm glad that F1 has reversed course & allowed an all-American team to compete. This is a win for competition, American manufacturing, & F1 fans!
After @smith.senate.gov and I called out the Trump Administration for trying to sell off federal buildings in Minnesota — including the Wellstone building, which is used for housing assistance and passport processing — the Administration is backing down for now.

First, the Administration had to rehire employees guarding our nuclear stockpile — now, public health workers.
This chaos is not good for our country.

The Great Lakes are national treasures that strengthen our economy and support more than 25 million jobs.
I spoke at the Great Lakes Commission congressional breakfast this morning about the importance of protecting our Great Lakes for generations to come.
NEWS: A federal judge just extended a ruling blocking the Administration's freeze on congressionally approved funds, saying “The Executive has not pointed to any constitutional or statutory authority that would allow them to impose this type of categorical freeze.”
There are three co-equal branches of government and the Constitution requires the executive branch to comply with federal court rulings — but the President refuses to acknowledge these founding principles.
Watch my speech on the Senate floor in support of the rule of law:
Our guests to the Joint Address shared how they are being hurt by the Administration’s reckless actions.
@lujan.senate.gov’s guest, Katy Anderson, explained how the Administration’s funding is taking away food from hungry families.
Head Start leader Lauri Morrison-Frichtl, @duckworth.senate.gov’s Joint Address guest, shared how the Administration’s funding freezes are hurting families trying to find child care.
They deserve better.
Their idea of waste and fraud is veterans care? apnews.com/article/vete...
Last night, Americans heard the longest joint address in our nation’s history — yet President Trump didn’t talk about how he’ll lower costs for regular Americans.
Instead, we heard about raising taxes on regular Americans with tariffs and giving tax breaks to the rich.
During natural disasters, Americans need reliable communications networks, especially 9-1-1.
My bipartisan bill will save lives by ensuring Americans can connect to 9-1-1 during major disasters and recognizes dispatchers for their critical roles as first responders.
Today @democrats.senate.gov gathered with some of our guests who are at the Joint Address, including Emma, a 12-year-old who treated her rare genetic disease thanks to NIH-funded research.
Our guests have felt the direct impacts of the Administration's policies & they will be listening tonight.
Here’s the State of the Union: chaos is up, corruption is up, and costs are up.
They’re freezing funding for Head Start, lifesaving medical research, and attacking Medicaid, in an effort to find as much money as possible to give to billionaires.
Senate Democrats are fighting back.
Trump said that he would lower costs “on day one,” but he hasn’t done a thing to bring down prices, no matter what he claims tonight.
⬆️Wholesale egg prices are up.
⬆️Wholesale coffee prices are up.
⬆️Lumber prices are up.
We need lower costs, not tax cuts for billionaires.
It was good to see members of the 1980 Miracle on Ice Olympic Hockey Team including game winning scorer Mike Eruzione and Minnesotans Buzz Schneider and Phil Verchota today! Their iconic victory made us believe in miracles and is a testament to perseverance and teamwork.
When our farmers succeed, the whole country benefits. That’s why I'm bringing Gary Wertish, a third-generation farmer & president of the MN Farmers Union as my guest to the President’s Joint Address. He understands how harmful these across-the-board tariffs will be for farmers & rural America.
Thank you, Dr. Francis Collins for your dedication to serving the public through your work at the NIH. It’s important that we continue to invest in federal biomedical research and life-saving trials – and respect the scientists who make innovation possible.
