Thank you @SupBettyDuong & @SCCgov leaders for inviting me to speak about the impacts of H.R. 1 on our communities.
I was glad to provide updates on H.R. 1 & federal science enterprises & share my perspective on Trump’s horrific immigration policies.

Privatization isn’t financially responsible & threatens a secure retirement.
My Democratic colleagues & I will fight any attempt to cut or dismantle Social Security.
These threats are un-American. I will not support them. We must protect Social Security.

Veterans fought for our freedom. The least we can do is fight for veterans’ reproductive freedom.
I support @juliabrownley.house.gov's Reproductive Freedom for Veterans Act, which will roll back Trump’s dismantling of the VA’s reproductive health policy.
@kevinmullin.house.gov, @usrepjimmypanetta.bsky.social, @RepAdamGrayCA, & I are demanding the Trump Administration comply with a court injunction to reinstate this essential healthcare funding.

Because of Republicans’ Big Ugly Law, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte was forced to close 5 health centers in Northern California.
Trump is gutting federal science & its workforce. This is disastrous to our economy & our national security.
@padilla.senate.gov, @schiff.senate.gov, & I are urging the Dept. of Energy & the Office of Management & Budget to reverse course.

2/2: Don’t take my word for it. Republicans say they’re providing cover.

1/2: This week, House Republicans shut down Congress until September to prevent the release of the Epstein Files.
ICYMI: Last week, I joined @weeknightmsnbc.bsky.social & discussed how Trump is trying to protect himself.
📢Congressional Republicans must stop covering for Trump📢

Local leaders & community members joined me in Watsonville to highlight the immigration registry bill & its many benefits, including the certainty it brings for farmworkers & our economy.

Stability > Scare tactics.
Our immigration registry bill provides straightforward reform that America needs.

Does Tulsi Gabbard have a new, secret loyalty-focused spy team?
Congress needs answers about surveillance within the intel community.
🚨🍎🚨California’s students & teachers are being held hostage by the Trump Admin!🚨✏️🚨
Join me & the entire CA Dem Delegation in demanding the release of the nearly $1 BILLION of education funding being wrongly withheld from our state. We cannot stand idly by as they steal from our kids!

There is a very real student debt crisis in our country. We need policy solutions to prevent further harm to a generation of students & our economy.
Our student loan bankruptcy reform is straightforward & gives student borrowers a fair shot. Learn more: correa.house.gov/news/press-r...
When Republicans voted to pass their One Big, Ugly Bill, they voted to take health care access away from millions of Americans.
I met with local @aptaofficial.bsky.social members to discuss how these cuts would impact Californians in the Salinas Valley & beyond.
ICYMI: Dialysis patients are speaking out, & I agree that it’s shameful when profits override patients’ needs & caregivers’ wellbeing.
Sadly, when treatment is delayed or denied, the consequences are dire.
CBS News just aired a powerful exposé calling out big dialysis corporations for prioritizing profits over patients. This is why dialysis workers and patients are joining SEIU-UHW to hold corporations like DaVita, Fresenius, Satellite, and US Renal accountable!

What ignorance. Ask any farm group.
Our country’s ag industry relies on skilled farmworkers. There’s food on our tables thanks to the workforce in place. The suggestions are a joke.
We need smart reform, like our bipartisan Farm Workforce Modernization Act: bit.ly/3TvxhEp
PS - What happened to THIS Tulsi Gabbard? (2/2)
x.com/TulsiGabbard...
This is chilling & wrong. A secret team to sift through emails & chat logs from across the intelligence community?! A giant database on U.S. persons?!
I've warned against this, & my bipartisan Government Surveillance Reform Act would've helped prevent it. (1/2)
I was proud to be a part of the Naglee Park Parade this 4th of July!
Nearly two & a half centuries ago, our nation was born with a promise of liberty & justice for all.
Today, we must recommit ourselves to protecting our democracy & advocating for American’s fundamental rights.
