On #NationalTradesmenDay, I want to recognize the hardworking men and women who build and maintain our communities. As a proud member of Ironworkers Local 7 and the Congressional @laborcaucus.house.gov, I will always fight for fair contracts and safe working conditions for our workers!
President Trump’s deployment of the National Guard in D.C. flies in the face of the Posse Comitatus Act – which reflects the longstanding principle separating our U.S. military from duties that should be carried out by civilian law enforcement personnel. @oversightdemocrats.house.gov
Armed U.S. military personnel are patrolling the streets of Washington, D.C., in support of President Trump’s agenda. Our military should never be politicized—our sons and daughters in uniform deserve far more respect from the President of the United States. @oversightdemocrats.house.gov
This morning, @ushousefsc.bsky.social held a roundtable in response to President Trump’s recent attacks on the Federal Reserve Bank. For our economic stability, it is critical that the Fed remain independent and free from political manipulation.
