Last week, the House approved our language to explore options for preserving access to the Moffett Field Commissary. It’s a first step toward a permanent fix — and we won’t stop pushing until our service members, veterans, and military families have the resources they deserve.
Bay Area hockey fans just scored a major win. Welcome to San José, @pwhl-sanjose.bsky.social! As Women’s professional hockey continues to grow, our community will proudly support this new team at SAP Center. Looking forward to cheering them on at a game in the SAP Center soon.
Thrilled to see Santa Clara University and Sutter Health open the Bay Area’s first new medical school in more than 100 years, which will expand access to care and health care careers across California, and drive healthcare innovation for the next generation.

Great to visit Half Moon Bay High School and meet with 250 students. We talked about bipartisanship, housing, AI, and most importantly, how our youngest generation of adults can have a bigger impact in our decisions.
During Police Week, we honor the officers who keep our communities safe. Special thanks to Santa Clara County Sheriff Bob Jonsen’s team and the network of local police departments who prepared our community for a successful and safe Super Bowl, and who now ramp up for an epic World Cup.
Their work feeds our families, strengthens our economy, and preserves the Coastside’s character. We have much to do to reduce regulatory barriers and other obstacles—such as tariffs, immigration enforcement, and gas prices—to help our farmers thrive.
Along our Coastside, I heard directly from local farmers like John and Luca Giusti, Bob Marsh and BJ Burns about rising costs, labor shortages, water access, and other great challenges of keeping family farms afloat.
