Republicans need to grow a spine and vote with Democrats to put an END to Trump's war with Iran. The American people want Congress to focus on lowering prices. They want their tax dollars going toward health care, not another costly and deadly war in the Middle East.
No. American soldiers dying in an unjustified war of choice is NOT just "the way it is." This is a disgraceful way to talk about the cost of war. This is no Commander in Chief.
Trump: " Three U.S. military service members have been killed in action… Sadly, there will likely be more before it ends, that's the way it is, likely be more. But we'll do everything possible where that won't be the case."
The notion that Democrats must now help Republicans cut a blank check for ICE because Trump started a war with Iran that no one asked for is as cynical & absurd as it gets. Democrats want to protect America's national security AND protect Americans from an out-of-control DHS.
My heart goes out to the families and loved ones of the servicemembers we’ve lost as well as those who are seriously wounded. The cost of war is real and devastating. I hope my colleagues will keep that in mind.
Congress must return immediately and vote to put an end to this war. Every Senator should be on the record—the American people deserve to know which of their leaders supports another potentially bloody and costly war in the Middle East. No war with Iran.
Our country welcomes a refugee with open arms. He is then wrongfully detained by DHS and dropped off miles from home in the cold of winter. He is blind and doesn't speak English. This was practically a death sentence. Shah Alam's family deserves answers and justice.
Trump is rigging the system so the biggest corporations can misclassify workers to block them from getting minimum wage and overtime. It's an outright grift & workers should be furious. Republicans will pass tax breaks for billionaires and then stiff workers for good measure.
In less than 24 hours, Trump went from saying he'll never cut Medicaid (he already passed the largest cut in history last year) to holding the program hostage for an entire state. Trump is using the most vulnerable people in our communities as political pawns. It's disgusting.
If you think BIRTH CONTROL pills are “a disrespect of life,” and can’t just say birth control is safe and effective for the overwhelming majority of women with your whole chest, you should NOT be America’s top doctor. I'm voting NO on Casey Means for Surgeon General.
Trump's State of the Union was way too long, but more importantly, it was a reminder that Americans are paying more—literally—thanks to his broken promises. That health care plan? Surging premiums, Medicaid cuts, and hospitals closing. Lowering prices on day one? Look around.
Millions of moms struggle with depression during their pregnancy. America deserves a Surgeon General who can state plainly that SSRIs are SAFE for the majority of pregnant women. We don't need more junk science charlatans. I'm voting NO on Casey Means' confirmation.
MURRAY: Do you believe SSRIs are dangerous for pregnant women? TRUMP SURGEON GENERAL NOMINEE CASEY MEANS: Every medication has risks and benefits and you need to have a nuanced conversation with your doctor MURRAY: Strong evidence shows they're safe
Well, now that we've gotten through THAT, here's the truth: This is America and no matter what Trump wants you to believe, the power belongs to the PEOPLE. A more hopeful future for America is possible when we all speak out and stand up for what we believe in.
