Trump's trade war is far from over—and will still cost families nearly $3,000 per year. As outrageous as it is unnecessary. Not to mention, we have no clue when or if Trump will detonate even higher tariffs. Republicans need to join Democrats to end Trump's tariffs immediately.
Once again, anti-abortion politicians are pushing crazy junk science from right-wing extremists to justify trying to rip away access to medication abortion from women everywhere. They're counting on people not paying attention—it's time to speak up.
@childcareaware.bsky.social does critical work to help our youngest kids and their families grow & thrive. I'm glad I could meet with them last week to discuss my Child Care for Working Families Act & how we're fighting back against Trump's attacks on child care and pre-K.
Senator Murray is sitting at the end of a table with her hand resting on her chin. She is looking to the right and smiling. 10 other people are sitting at the table.
🚨Republicans are once again trying to defund Planned Parenthood, which means defunding basic health care for millions of women: cancer screenings, birth control, reproductive health care & more. Why? To attack reproductive freedom & pass more tax cuts for billionaires. No way.
While Republicans fight to pass tax cuts for billionaires that blow up the national debt, they're also insisting that millions of Americans lose their health care. This bill will shut down hospitals, force seniors out of nursing homes, and kick children off their health care.
CBO estimates that the combined effect of Republican Medicaid proposals, allowing enhanced ACA premium tax credits to expire, and President Trump’s proposed ACA rules would increase the number of uninsured by 13.7 million. That would take us back to close to pre-ACA levels.
Trump's Social Security Administration is filing thousands of LIVING people as dead. It's destroying everything from their credit and banking to their ability to access health care or housing. I'm demanding a full investigation.
This Mother's Day, I'm thinking about all the moms who are working hard to make ends meet—while Trump's tariffs drive up prices on everyday essentials from groceries to car seats. I was in Seattle this week talking to moms about what Trump's new taxes on families will mean for them.
Senator Murray is smiling and reaching her arm out. In front of her, a woman is holding a baby, and two women are standing to the left and smiling at the interaction. In the background are a few other people. They are standing in a room full of shelves with baby strollers, car seats, and boxes on them.
I spoke to leaders from Tacoma-Pierce County to talk about how Trump's dangerous trade war is hurting small businesses & making it harder to build affordable housing and how the admin is slashing housing & transportation programs that people rely on. I'm fighting back.
Senator Murray is sitting at the end of a large table with nine other people pictured, as well as two people on chairs against a wall. She is sitting with her hands together under her chin, looking at someone toward the end of the table with their back to the camera.
Trump is decimating the Forest Service & firing the very people who help save our communities. Not only that, but he wants to eliminate FEMA entirely. He's not just gutting the work to prevent fires—but also the work to rebuild after disaster strikes. I'm sounding the alarm.
Straight off the plane from D.C. I headed to West Side Baby in Seattle to talk to moms about how Trump's tariffs are raising costs on everyday items families need, from strollers to car seats. I’m rallying with parents to pressure Republicans to join me in STOPPING Trump’s Baby Tax!
Senator Murray is standing at a podium that has a sign on the front that reads "STOP TRUMP'S BABY TAX." There are 11 other people in the photo—5 adults and 6 children. They are in a room that has shelves of car seats, diapers, strollers, and unopened boxes.

To the right of the Senator is a person who is standing and holding a young boy and to the left of the Senator is another person who is also standing. Dr. Hayden is a trailblazer who has spent her entire career serving Americans and Trump callously fired her a year before the end of her term. There is no justification for firing an extraordinary public servant like Dr. Hayden, respected on both sides of the aisle. It's a disgrace.
President Donald Trump on Thursday fired Carla Hayden, the Librarian of Congress — the first woman and first African American to hold the position. She was informed of the decision in a terse, two-sentence email.
Small businesses are the backbone of our economy—but they already often operate on razor-thin margins & now they're taking a serious hit from Trump’s boneheaded trade war. Republicans need to join Democrats to STOP these tariffs—that’s what I’m fighting for this #SmallBusinessWeek.
Trump's Department of Homeland Security is illegally BLOCKING billions of dollars in disaster relief & public safety grants while at the same time it OVERSPENDS on its lawless mass deportation campaign. This admin cannot continue to defy our laws & hurt the American people in the process.
Conversion therapy is based on the hateful idea that being part of the LGBTQ+ community is an illness that requires treatment.  It’s a dangerous sham practice that has been completely debunked and should be banned nationwide—I introduced a bill with @booker.senate.gov to do just that.
Like I’ve been saying: we’ve got an economically illiterate president.   Less cargo means less trucks transporting goods to stores—and THAT means empty shelves, higher prices, and layoffs.   Trump is committing economic arson—Republicans need to join us to stop him.
This administration has deported a four-year old U.S. citizen with cancer. They're illegally disappearing people to a foreign torture prison. The first thing history will say about Secretary Noem's leadership is that she was responsible for many of these travesties.
Kash Patel, the conspiracy theorist that Republicans made FBI Director, came to a Senate hearing on the budget—with NO budget, NO timeline, and NO clue. It's downright incompetent, and it's making America less safe. We need serious leadership at the FBI.
MURRAY: It was due last week. By law. PATEL: I understand. MURRAY: You're not gonna follow the law? ... And you have no timeline? PATEL: No MURRAY: Hmm. We're not having a budget hearing without a budget request. So where is it?
These are the stories of women who died because of Republican abortion bans last year. Their lives mattered. Their stories matter. Help share their stories and let’s keep fighting to restore reproductive rights for every woman in America.
1/ For ProPublica’s “Life of the Mother” series, winner of the 2025 Pulitzer Prize for public service, we reported on five pregnant women who died after not receiving timely medical care in states with strict abortion bans. These are their stories 🧵
