Minnesotans have suffered from the Trump administration’s cruelty, incompetence, and corruption. We reject the idea that anyone is above the law and the Constitution doesn’t apply to them. I stand united with Minnesotans in defending our rights and our way of life. No Kings!
The Senate passed a bipartisan bill to pay TSA agents and fund FEMA disaster relief, the Coast Guard, and cybersecurity protections.
Speaker Johnson won't bring this bill to the House floor for a vote because he knows it would pass.
With respect to Iran, President Trump has denied the American public and the Congress this same process that the Constitution requires.
There was a months-long national debate about military action in Iraq, and Congress held hearings, debated the resolution, and voted to approve the operation before President Bush launched the first strikes on Iraq.
While I opposed that war from the beginning, President Bush did what President Trump has failed to do: Follow the law and the Constitution and explain his rationale, albeit deeply flawed, for taking our nation to war.
In 2002, I was one of 133 members of the House of Representatives to vote against the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq. 🧵
Democrats have a solution: Fund TSA. Fund FEMA. No money for ICE without reforms.
The President is reportedly seeking $200 billion in supplemental funding from Congress for his war — an astounding amount that far surpasses the costs of the war that have been reported during the past four weeks.
Let me be clear: I will not write blank checks to the Department of Defense.
Good luck to Tartan High School as they take on Chaska in the Minnesota boys' basketball state tournament semifinals at 6:00 PM today at Williams Arena!
For the second straight year, the gender pay gap has gotten worse. The Paycheck Fairness Act would help fix it through salary transparency, pay discrimination enforcement, and enhanced accountability.
Working women keep our economy running. We should be paid fairly for our work!
This afternoon, I had the pleasure of welcoming Saint Paul Mayor Koahly Her to my Washington, DC office. I'm looking forward to continuing our work together to improve the quality of life for Saint Paul residents!
With each day, it becomes more apparent that President Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran was a political choice, not a strategic necessity. It is also clear that he has no plan to account for the quickly rising costs for his war of choice.
President Trump and Republicans refuse to extend the ACA tax credits that help millions of Americans afford health care saying they cost too much.
Now, Trump wants $200 Billion more for his war of choice in Iran.
Democrats are fighting for health care, not warfare.
I'm grateful to @ag.state.mn.us for working to hold the Trump administration accountable for illegal conduct by federal agents. Full, transparent, and independent investigations are needed into the deaths of Alex Pretti and Renee Good. This lawsuit is critical to ensuring that happens.
Last year, Americans united to support TSA agents during the longest federal shutdown in history. We must do so again.
Democrats have a bill to pay TSA agents, Coast Guard, FEMA, and professionals handling cybersecurity. It’s time to pass it.
TSA agents deserve to be paid. But President Trump refuses to work with Democrats to pay TSA and stop illegal ICE and CPB conduct.

As @robertgarcia.house.gov makes clear, children are feeling some of the worst impacts of Donald Trump’s brutality and cruelty from agencies across DHS. DHS and this administration will be held accountable.
Now we’re paying $1.00 more per gallon of gas since the war began, with costs rising for everything else.
Trump says we don’t have money to help Americans afford their lives, but he has billions to spend on wars.
Who’s paying for Trump's war? You are.
The Trump–Republican billionaire tax cut and spending bill took away health care and food aid from millions of Americans — money they’re using to fight Iran.
