Eleven days have passed since the first strikes on Iran, but President Trump and Secretary Hegseth have yet to define clear objectives for this operation.
There's a reason they haven't laid out a clear strategy: They don't have one.
Trump needs to end this war immediately.
President Trump promised enormous economic growth from his tariffs and billionaire tax cuts.
Instead, Americans are losing their jobs at an astounding rate.
Airport security wait times are longer than normal amid a shortage of TSA agents. TSA is recommending that all travelers at MSP airport, including those with pre-check or CLEAR, arrive early in order to board on time.
President Trump yesterday denied any U.S. involvement in the bombing of a girls’ school in Iran, but new evidence indicates that the U.S. was responsible for the strike. Congress and the American people deserve an open and transparent investigation into this terrible tragedy.
Congratulations to Team Nevertheless on wrapping up their annual brew of craft beer in honor of International Women's Day. www.startribune.com/minnesota-br...
I join Girls Scouts across the nation as they celebrate over 110 years of learning, leading, and scouting during this Girl Scout Week!

Proud to see Minnesota amongst the top represented states at the 2026 Winter Paralympics. Wishing them and all Team USA athletes good luck as they compete on the world stage! www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...
As we celebrate Women's History Month, I'm grateful for the contributions of Jeannette Rankin — a trailblazing women's rights advocate who became the first woman to hold federal office in 1917. More than a century later, we honor her legacy by continuing the fight for equality.
President Trump has unilaterally taken our nation to war with Iran.
Just now, I voted YES on a resolution to put an end to this conflict. Unfortunately, the measure failed.
Rather than reining in this president and his out-of-control war, Republicans chose to endorse it.
Firing her is just the first step to ending the lawlessness that she oversaw at DHS. It is up to Congress to rein in an out-of-control department and rebuild agencies that respect the civil and constitutional rights of the American people.
Under Secretary Noem’s leadership, masked ICE and Border Patrol agents killed two Minnesotans, violently assaulted our neighbors, and racially profiled Minnesotans on a mass scale. Minnesotans will never forget the terror that Kristi Noem unleashed upon our state.
Kristi Noem is the most inept, incompetent, and dishonorable leader in the history of the Department of Homeland Security. Her short tenure leaves behind an agency marred by corruption and distrust, and her legacy will be the violence DHS has inflicted on Americans.
Minnesotans will never forget the terror, chaos, and incompetence that Kristi Noem unleashed upon our state.
The Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill fails to address the dangerous and illegal activity from ICE and Border Patrol agents that Minnesotans have witnessed during Operation Metro Surge. I'm voting no.
Today, I will vote YES on a resolution to limit President Trump from continuing military strikes in Iran without Congressional approval.
Congress should be addressing the health care and affordability crises created by Trump and Republicans, not going to war.
Rather than fixing the health care and affordability crises they created for the American people, President Trump and Congressional Republicans continue to target Minnesota in an unprecedented campaign of retribution and incompetence aimed at attacking our way of life and dividing our neighbors.
We pray for their families, for the safety of all our men and women in uniform serving overseas, and for those in the region who now find themselves in danger because of President Trump’s reckless, unlawful, and unnecessary decision to go to war.
Already, the lives of six American service members have been lost, including a fellow Minnesotan, Sergeant First Class Nicole M. Amor of White Bear Lake. Their service to our nation will never be forgotten.
