Extreme weather events like the wildfires in the Northland are not random — they're a direct consequence of climate change. This World Environment Day, we must recommit to investing in our natural environment and building a more sustainable future.
The House just passed the Ukraine Support Act, a vital bill providing Ukraine with new assistance to defend their democracy and impose additional sanctions on Russia for Putin’s illegal invasion. It's unfortunate that House Republican leadership stalled this bill for over a year.
100% of copper mines fail, leading to polluted waters. But a Chilean company wants to mine in the BWCA watershed and ship ore to China to be smelted and sold on the global market to the highest bidder. I supported an amendment to stop these leases. Watch here:
Minnesota leads the nation in free and fair elections. Our maps are balanced, our elections are secure, and every ballot cast in our nation-leading voter turnout is counted. Republicans have much to learn from Minnesota and should stop trying to change the rules to rig elections.
The American people have made clear that they oppose the war with Iran. The President should work with the international community to negotiate a peaceful resolution to the Iran nuclear materials issue & open up the Strait of Hormuz. The Senate must immediately take up & pass this resolution.
This evening, I voted to stop President Trump’s unconstitutional Iran War for the fourth time. Democrats were finally joined by enough Republicans to assert Congress’s constitutional War Powers authority and direct President Trump to withdraw U.S. forces from direct conflict with Iran.
Bill Pulte has absolutely no business serving as Acting Director of National Intelligence.   Simply put: A person who has zero experience in intelligence, national security, or defense should not serve in one of the most important national security roles in the government.
"I'm worried about how I'm going to eat," says Miyah Monk, a 23-year-old who spent her childhood in a foster home. In the latest example of Trump's cruelty, his Big Ugly Law is stripping SNAP from young Minnesotans transitioning out of foster care.

🚨 MBC has declared a blood emergency 🚨 The blood supply has dropped to less than two days. All blood types are needed, especially A-, B-, and type O. Every donation can help save multiple lives. Schedule your donation today ➡️ https://bit.ly/4dTnCCx
The stunning array of white graves blanketing Arlington National Cemetery reminds us of the collective sacrifice of generations of American service members. President Trump's arch would replace that view with a monument to his ego. I'm supporting Rep. Don Beyer's bill to block it.
Coming soon to the East Side: The newly-renovated Plaza del Sol — a food hall with six vendors, a commissary kitchen, a community space, an event center, and a business incubator. Glad to see great progress on this project, supported in part by a $1M grant I secured in 2022.
Thanks to the residents of Lexington Landing in Saint Paul for welcoming me into their home for a thoughtful discussion about what's happening here in Minnesota, the latest in Washington, and developments around the globe. Always grateful for the opportunity to listen.
President Trump promised to lower costs on day one, but he’s only rewarded himself. Now he’s building a White House fighting cage for his birthday, while you pay more for gas, groceries, health care, and utilities because of his Iran War, tariffs and Big Ugly Law.
