While Elon Musk and Donald Trump slash critical services that Americans rely on, Minnesota is taking a different path. Thanks to the leadership of @governorwalz.mn.gov, we're investing in our communities and making Minnesota the best state in the nation to build a family.
Democracy in action. Thanks to the people of Stillwater for joining me, Speaker Emerita @melissahortman.bsky.social, Representatives Josiah Hill, Peter Fischer, Kaohly Her, and David Gottfried and Senator @lizboldonmn.bsky.social for our town hall tonight. Your voices matter, and we're listening.
The Mississippi is the most endangered river in America according to @americanrivers.bsky.social. On Earth Day, I'm taking action by introducing the Mississippi River Restoration & Resilience Initiative Act — to protect our drinking water, ecosystem, and wildlife for generations to come.
Saint Paul opened the new Fire Station 7 today — the result of years of hard work and collaboration with @klobuchar.senate.gov, @mayorcarter.bsky.social, and Fire Chief Butch Inks. Old Station 7 kept the East Side safe for 100 years. Here's to the next 100!
Cutting regional climate centers is not government efficiency. Illegally defunding critical data collection is reckless and undercuts the essential service they provide: Free, on-time, accurate weather information for all of us.
It was great to join together with @mayorcarter.bsky.social, @mccollum.house.gov, and Saint Paul Fire Chief Butch Inks for the opening of Saint Paul Fire Station 7!   This station will expand fire & EMS coverage and has the city's first decontamination showers to help protect first responders.
My fellow Democrats and I warned the public that Mr. Hegseth was grossly unqualified to serve as Secretary of Defense. It has become clear that not only is he incompetent, but his actions are jeopardizing our national security. The time has come for Secretary Hegseth to resign.
With Earth Day approaching, I also find myself reflecting on the pontiff’s actions to protect the gift that God has given all of us: Planet Earth. A gift to be cherished by all. We can honor Pope Francis’ wisdom by sharing the resources we’ve been given and using them wisely.
Pope Francis will be remembered for leading by example. By showing compassion for all of God’s children, he challenged the entire world — and its leaders in particular — to be compassionate toward others.
Listening to you is my most important job. I visited Carondelet Village for another town hall yesterday, where residents told me they're worried about President Trump's attacks against Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. I’ll always vote to protect Minnesotans who rely on these services.
We live in an extraordinary time as people are being denied due process and threatened with displacement and deportation. I will continue to fight to protect and defend our democracy and our Constitution and support the rights of all people.
Today we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the resettlement of our Hmong and Southeast Asian allies. For 50 years, since the end of Vietnam War, Hmong Americans have been calling Minnesota home and making tremendous contributions to our culture and economy.
It’s heartbreaking to learn of a school shooting at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. There have already been 98 mass shootings just four months into 2025. These are preventable acts of senseless brutality. We must take action to end gun violence.
Medicaid keeps Minnesota's families safe, healthy, and financially secure — but Republicans are trying to make the largest cut to Medicaid in American history to pass massive tax cuts for billionaires. I'll always fight against Republican efforts to take away Minnesotans' healthcare.
