Democrats want to open TSA. We've introduced bills in the House and Senate to pay federal workers and end these headaches for travelers.
Republicans are refusing to do that unless funding for ICE is attached.
We shouldn’t hamstring our airports because they won’t rein in ICE.

Today, our nation mourns the loss of a devoted public servant and true patriot.
Robert Mueller served our country with honor — as a Vietnam veteran, Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient, federal prosecutor, FBI Director, and as Special Counsel. (1/2)
I’ll keep fighting GOP attempts to slash funding so we can stay safe when severe weather strikes.
Extreme weather has battered the U.S. this year — blizzards, tornadoes, floods, and record heat.
With hurricane and tornado seasons ramping up, we must stay prepared. That’s why I secured $6.2 billion in federal funding for NOAA — their emergency alerts save lives.
Energy costs are already high. The President's tariffs are making it even more difficult for New Yorkers to get relief.
A wind and solar project that could power millions of homes is now on hold because his tariffs sent costs skyrocketing.
Every day, he breaks his promise to lower costs.

I won't support another dollar for DHS until this lawlessness is reined in.
He was a dad rushing to see his baby in the NICU. A DACA recipient. A scientist. A neighbor. A man with no criminal record.

When I visited MDC Brooklyn, I requested to meet with Rafael. I wanted to make sure that he was safe & being treated humanely. I told him that I & many other New Yorkers – including Speaker Menin – continue standing with him. I join the Speaker & others in denouncing the decision to deport him.
I’m so grateful for their insight and spirit—and in Congress, I’ll keep fighting to make life better for every family in our community.
I stopped by Commonpoint Queens while I was home last week to check in with local seniors, update them on what I've been working on in DC, & answer questions! So many in our community are concerned about rising costs, the status of federal funding in our community, flooding, severe weather, & more.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I won’t support any measure that gives ICE a blank check to keep harming our communities.
I’m signing a discharge petition to force a vote to fund parts of DHS that don’t include ICE — agencies like TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard. This will keep our airports running and ensure federal workers get the pay they’ve earned, while we continue demanding accountability for ICE.
