As #HispanicHeritageMonth begins, we recognize the immeasurable impact of our nation's Hispanic and Latino communities.
I'm proud to represent Louisvillians from all over Latin America and the Caribbean—their voices, culture, and experiences make our city better every day.
🚨 LOUISVILLE GRANT ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
$10 million in federal funding we helped secure is now headed to create Waterfront Park!
Not only will these efforts create a new space for Louisvillians to use, they'll rehabilitate and revitalize the Ohio River in the process.
In celebration of HBCU week, Simmons College opened its brand new bookstore today!
Dating back to the 1800s, this building was once a store where Black students were not allowed to enter — now it's a space all Simmons students can come together and enjoy.
The last thing Louisvillians need right now is higher health care costs.
Congress can and should fix this. House Republicans just have to work with us. bit.ly/47Bp1uU
Today marks 24 years since the horrific attacks on September 11 that took thousands of innocent lives.
We'll never forget the brave first responders who acted heroically to save their fellow Americans, and I'm holding the families of those we lost close to my heart today.
Bobbie Holsclaw dedicated over two decades of her life to Jefferson County.
She truly changed the way we interact with our government, and I know her legacy will live on throughout our community. My prayers are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time. bit.ly/4gfkGQg
Political violence has no place in this country, and cannot be normalized.
I unequivocally condemn this horrific attack, and my prayers are with Charlie Kirk and his loved ones. bit.ly/3HVKd4u
Every day, we lose 74 Americans to gun suicide, nearly a quarter of which are veterans.
By talking about gun suicide, practicing safe firearm storage, and encouraging those in crisis to reach out for help, we can prevent these tragedies. #FirearmSuicidePreventionDay
There are millions of kids nationwide who support a disabled veteran at home.
But, unlike other caregivers, they aren't getting federal support.
I'm working with @repciscomani.bsky.social to understand the challenges youth caregivers face and what support they need.
As a dad, the thought of any child in Kentucky going hungry is heart-wrenching.
These are the real-life consequences of Trump's budget. He's holding our communities back, not pushing us forward. bit.ly/4mX236i
10 years of Louisville Pride! So much work goes into creating such a joyful celebration of Louisville's LGBTQ+ community — I'm grateful for everyone who plays a part in our city's pride festival year after year.
Prost! Happy Oktoberfest, Louisville!
After a month at home, I'm back in DC to fight for Louisville in Congress.
It's your voices that guide my work — here's a look back at what my August looked like:
Sergeant Major Troy Black has made Louisville and our entire country proud.
As he retires from a distinguished 37-year career of service marked by incredible bravery and patriotism, we thank him for all he's done in defense of our nation.
We're forcing a vote to release the Epstein files. Let's get these victims the justice they deserve.
Louisville is a union town — our workers are the heart of our city.
This #LaborDay, we celebrate the progress American workers and unions have made, and we stand in solidarity with every worker's right to organize for better pay, safe working conditions, and good benefits.
For decades, the Fern Creek Fire Department has been taking care of our community, and I've had the honor of working with them for the last 10 years.
Couldn't be prouder to see them grow into a new space that will support the lifesaving work they do every day!
We're getting calls from neighbors who are concerned about Section 8 going away.
Despite President Trump's proposed cuts, this program is still intact and can't be changed without an act from Congress. I will vote against any effort to kick Louisvillians out of their homes.
From a mock jury trial and 3D printing to gardening and a couple of reptiles, I had a great visit to Carrithers Middle School!
I loved learning about their programs to shape the next generation of public service, business, communications leaders.
