S.O.S. International is a local nonprofit that sends Louisville’s compassion to areas in need across the globe — the kind of effort I'm extra grateful to see right now. This week, Team McGarvey dropped off some supplies with their incredible team!
Trump's decision to seize control of DC's police department and deploy the military in our nation’s capital is a blatant authoritarian power grab based on lies. He doesn't care about safety, he cares about taking more power for himself. DC deserves autonomy and statehood.
President Trump once again catapulted crime in D.C. into the national conversation. “It has become one of the most dangerous cities anywhere in the World,” he said in a Truth Social post. Local and federal data, though, paint a contrasting picture: wapo.st/3UnYDNd
When we work together at every level, we can do incredible things for our city — Our Place at Ben Washer Park is proof of that. Can't thank Bridge Kids International enough for all they're doing for Louisville families!
The Congressional App Challenge is open to all Louisville middle and high schoolers regardless of coding experience—it's a great way to develop STEM skills and make a difference in our community! Visit my website to learn more and apply by October 30: bit.ly/3rf8av6
I toured UP today, an incredible day shelter in Louisville that has supported over 2,000 women and young kids this year. I won't stop fighting to make sure these organizations have the support they need.
Just finished my 13th town hall since Trump took office. Overwhelmingly, we heard from Louisvillians worried about Medicaid cuts and the impact of Trump's policies in our community. These are the voices and stories that fuel our fight in Washington — don't let up.
It's been great having so many incredible Kentuckians on the team in DC this summer! I always love the opportunity to hear new perspectives and ideas from our interns. If you're interested in a fall internship with my office, there's still time to apply: bit.ly/40x4WS8
Republicans will vote all night long to take away your health care, but shut down the House over releasing the Epstein files. Donald Trump will always protect his billionaire friends over you. It’s that simple. bit.ly/4f0caE5
Thank you @delauro.house.gov and @congressmanraja.bsky.social for your help in taking on the insurance companies and making sure our smallest preemies have the nutrition they need to grow and thrive!
Our twins were born 14 weeks early. When you're sleeping on a hospital chair in the NICU, the last thing you should be worried about is insurance coverage for your baby. Today, I'm reintroducing my bill to help preemie parents keep their babies healthy.
REMINDER: I'm hosting a telephone town hall on Wednesday to hear directly from Louisvillians. Join me! Sign up to get the call here: bit.ly/3ZPgVtV
With so much going on in DC and Louisville, I want to hear directly from you. I'm hosting a telephone town hall NEXT Wednesday at 7pm — I encourage every Louisvillian to join and share their thoughts. RSVP for a call here: bit.ly/3ZPgVtV
For nearly 50 years, the Kentucky Equal Justice Center has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of working families — a true lifeline for our community. This is a devastating consequence of Trump's federal funding cuts. bit.ly/3GTipNo
Is it hypocrisy, fear, or straight up lies? Either way, I'm getting whiplash, and they're still going after your health care. How do we stop it? Keep the pressure up and remind Trump's Republican party who they work for.
Right now, the Trump administration is illegally withholding $11 million intended for our schools in Jefferson County — every JCPS student will suffer as a result. As Louisville's representative in Congress, and as a JCPS dad myself, I'm demanding they release these funds.
