The United States is home to some of the world’s most impressive natural landscapes. On World Environment Day, we honor the beauty of the Earth, and as a member of the House Natural Resources Committee, I commit to keeping it beautiful and clean for generations to come.
Have a burning question for me about the federal budget, what’s really happening in Washington, or just whether I prefer stuffies over clam cakes? I’m answering questions TONIGHT on my Instagram. Reply to my IG story now with whatever’s on your mind.
THANK YOU to the more than 7,000 RIers who joined tonight’s town hall with me and special guest, Rep. John Larson. It’s clear that people are tired of the chaos in DC messing with their paychecks & ability to retire with dignity. I hear you, and I’m fighting for you in Congress.
People are tired of corruption in Washington.  Today, I joined @neguse.house.gov and other colleagues with real ideas for how to end the insider dealing that plagues Congress, including my bill to ban Members from trading stocks. We were sent here to work for the people, not for ourselves.
Good news: following our advocacy, this girl has been granted permission to stay and continue treatment. A victory for decency, but this is just a start. The Trump administration should not be deporting any sick children against their will, period.
🚨We’re calling on Secretary Noem to reverse the decision to deport a sick 4-year-old who needs medical care to survive. This never should’ve happened. The world is watching.
🚨 After years of advocacy, the RI House Judiciary Committee just passed an assault weapons ban. This is a major step to keep people safe from senseless gun violence. Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard for so long to make today’s win possible.
It is Gun Violence Awareness Month, & I’m reintroducing my bill to crack down on dealers who illegally sell guns to those who shouldn’t have them. 90% of crime scene guns trace back to just 5% of dealers—We can reduce gun violence by targeting those who knowingly arm criminals.
We have a housing crisis in our state, which is why it was so important to break ground today with @crossroadsri.bsky.social on 35 new homes for Rhode Islanders transitioning out of homelessness.  More housing supply at any level will improve housing affordability at every level. More to come.
Schools. Churches. Grocery stores. Gun violence and the tragic loss of life reach every corner of American life. Today marks the start of Gun Violence Awareness Month—a time not just for reflection, but for action. We owe it to our kids to build a country where safety is a right, not a privilege.
Happy Pride Month #RI02! 🏳️‍🌈 This month and every month, I join my colleagues in @equality.house.gov‬ to celebrate the diversity and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community, and commit to ensuring full equality for all.
Sojourner House is a lifeline for survivors of domestic abuse and human trafficking in Rhode Island. I was proud to stand with them at their Sojo MoJoe breakfast yesterday and support their mission to offer safety, support, and hope when it’s needed most.
When duty calls in Ashaway, staff by day and volunteers by night answer. That's how the Ashaway Ambulance Association keeps this rural corner of the Ocean State safe, one call at a time. I am committed to ensuring first responders across South County have the support they need to keep Rlers safe.
