While partial SNAP payments are a relief, let’s be clear: (1) the Trump Administration only acted AFTER the courts forced their hand, and (2) they have the ability to do much more (i.e., fully fund benefits for November).
They're choosing not to.

Happy birthday Alex! The kids and I are grateful every day for your love, strength and being the glue that keeps all of this together.
Open enrollment is here for Get Covered New Jersey—but so are higher premiums.
Why? Because Republicans are blocking vital ACA tax credit extensions.
House Democrats are fighting every single day to protect affordable coverage and save lives.

⚠️I have declared a State of Emergency effective at 12:00 a.m. on November 1.⚠️
The Trump Administration’s decision to suspend SNAP benefits threatens the health and safety of over 800,000 New Jerseyans.
We will use every available resource to protect vulnerable residents.
The courts have now sided with Democrats in the fight to ensure millions of Americans have access to food assistance.
No more excuses, delays or political games. The Trump Administration must follow the law and immediately release funds for SNAP.
Congrats to the Hoboken High School’s Girls Varsity Soccer Team on their first-ever HCIAL tournament championship! ⚽️👏
And huge shoutout to Bayonne High School for an incredible season and a hard-fought second-place finish — both teams make Hudson County proud! 🙌

It was a privilege to meet with advocates from the American Coalition for Ukraine, including friends from Ukrainian JC while I was back in DC.
We will continue to stand with Ukraine in defense of democracy and freedom. 🇺🇦
Congrats to Saint Peter's Prep on their historic three-peat! ⚽️ We’re so proud of your incredible achievement. 👏
And shoutout to Harrison HS on an outstanding season and a great match!
In the coming days and weeks, our office will continue to be a resource for everyone who needs it. We are here to help and will not rest until everyone who calls this community home is afforded the rights and the freedoms that they deserve.
We cannot stay silent in this moment. I have and always will fight back against these actions and stand up for the rights and dignity of every New Jerseyan.
What happened yesterday at a warehouse in Avenel involving nearly 50-armed ICE agents targeting people at their place of work is yet another reminder of how far the Trump Administration will go to spread fear and terrorize our communities.
#TBT to when Congress appropriated $6 BILLION that could keep SNAP running during a shutdown...
The Trump Admin knows they have this money and the ability to use it. They are choosing to let families go hungry instead.
Over 800,000 New Jerseyans will lose their November SNAP benefits if the Trump Administration continues to withhold funding.
House Democrats are fighting to protect SNAP because no American should go hungry–not now, not ever.
A Republican shutdown won't stop our team from serving you.
Harrison – Congress is coming to your corner to help with casework, passports, and anything else you need from a federal agency. We hope to see you there!
Families & small businesses across New Jersey are paying more on their energy bills—and the rapid growth of AI data centers is a major reason why.
That’s why we are holding data centers accountable to ensure our communities aren't continuing to shoulder the cost of these facilities’ energy demands.
Praying for the people in Jamaica, Cuba, and the rest of the Caribbean now more than ever as the storm makes landfall and recovery efforts begin.
I'll keep fighting to protect the programs and resources our families rely on, because New Jersey knows all too well how vital it is when disaster strikes.
Sandy forever changed New Jersey, and storms are becoming stronger and more frequent. Yet Republicans want to cut FEMA and disaster response funding when we need to be investing more in preparedness, not less.
As we watch Hurricane Melissa devastate parts of the Caribbean, we’re reminded — on the 13th anniversary of Superstorm Sandy — of how vulnerable our communities are to the growing impacts of climate change.
