Another great Community Resource Fair in Newark yesterday with Assemblywoman Pintor Marin and Senator Ruiz! Our office is here to serve you. We can help with immigration, passports, Social Security, veterans benefits, and more. If you need assistance, call us at (201) 309-0301.
My thoughts are with Detective Azcona’s family, the Newark PD, and their fellow officer who is recovering from this tragedy. Our office is ready to assist in any way we can. I remain grateful for the courage and bravery of those who put themselves in harm’s way to keep our community safe.
No student should have to sit in a parking lot to find a Wi-Fi connection to do homework. The FCC’s E-Rate Program can close this connectivity gap for families who don’t have reliable internet access at home, but Republicans are putting it on the chopping block. That’s wrong. Watch 👇
Proud to join brain injury advocates yesterday, recommitting ourselves to the work ahead and honoring the legacy of my dear friend, the late Congressman Bill Pascrell. Bill championed traumatic brain injury research in Congress, and I’m honored to continue this vital work with Congressman Pallone.
As a member of @housedemocrats.bsky.social Litigation Task Force, we are leading a coordinated effort to challenge the Administration’s actions every step of the way. When the President overreaches, he will be held accountable. This is an important step, but the work continues.
New Jerseyans are at risk of seeing their utility bills skyrocket this summer, yet the GOP is attempting to repeal the Inflation Reduction Act - which will make things even worse. IRA programs are making life more affordable - that's why Democrats are fighting to keep them. Watch 👇
Proud to stand with @ramirez.house.gov this morning in support of immigrant families and inclusive communities from across the country. We won’t let this Administration break us down by inflicting fear in - and harm to - our communities. We will stand tall for all of our neighbors. ✊
Great to have the Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey in the House today! They are always there to answer the call and keep our communities safe. Proud to have their backs in Congress 💪
This Administration is failing the American people and is making our country weaker, not stronger. We can and must do better. @housedemocrats.bsky.social are ready to deliver.
If you don’t believe me, just look at how the markets (where 401ks and pension funds are heavily invested) responded to today’s news. This is an unnecessary disaster that only hurts hard-working Americans and makes our country a less desirable place to invest (meaning less jobs and wage growth.)
Our economy is based on stability and reliability. To date, this administration has created distance from our allies, stopped funding for critical programs that are capital intensive and require long-term planning, and today, created an additional level of chaos that undermines our financial system.
Even in challenging times, our students and educators give me hope. That’s why it was such a joy to kick off the week by celebrating Read Across America at Abraham Lincoln School #14 in Elizabeth! And our team brought some books from The Library of Congress to add to their collection!
Dreamers are our friends and neighbors. They go to school with our children, and they worship at our parishes. They’ve built their lives here, and they deserve a path to citizenship. Proud to support @sylviagarcia.house.gov’s American Dream and Promise Act to finally make that happen.
Dreamers are our neighbors, teachers, and small business owners. I’m proud to have introduced the American Dream and Promise Act today—because their future is our future.
This is a disgrace. How can America be a world leader when the President and VP act like petulant children? We can and must do better. We will continue to stand with Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine.
A meeting between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy grew contentious, with Trump telling Zelenskyy that "you're not acting at all thankful" for U.S. support.
